I am just wondering where do you go to get recharged? I go to therapy, I attend AA, I talk with my friends/family, I have daily sometimes hourly discussions with GOD!
I still continue to struggle. I know I am only a few months into this whole thing but I sure am tried!

Two things that help me tremendously:
Exercise and sunlight. The exercise helps me get rid of the stress and takes the "edge" off of the depression and lonliness. Also gets me out of the house and is helping to restore confidence in myself.
The sunlight just seems to lighten my day. Everyday at work I try to get outside for at least 10 minutes and just let the sun beat down on my face. Really feel it energizes me.
Just my 2 cents.
Hang in there - one day at a time.
God Bless

Prayer. My therapist. My therapy buddies. My S-Anon group (like Al-Anon) was wonderful.
I had a couple of friends at church (which was a place where I did a lot of crying for a long time) ask what they could do. I gave them an honest answer - pray for me and hug me. Those hugs were so important. I know that's not normally a guy thing but it really helped me. It wasn't the intimate touch I longed for but it did help. Don't forget to remind us to pray for you.
Right now I'm gonna do a little ad. I am on the prayer ministry team at my church. If you would like for me to give the group your name (and God knows who you are even if you should choose to give an alias) so that we can pray for you by the name of your choice, please let me know. And for those of you who pray, please pray for my friends Mike & Lisa and Jay & Kim.
May God bless us all!

Hi Omaha,
I get my strength from things like seeing my 2 year old daughter do something for the first time. Opening my 7 and 9 year old's report card and seeing that they got straight A's last year, regardless of dad leaving on XMAS. I get strength watching my kids on the soccer field.
I get a lot of strength from my friends, even moreso than my family.
I pray and read a lot of books about this topic, and I get strength from posting to others and trying to be encouraging to them as well.
And don't flame me, but I'll be honest. Once in a while, I need a break from it all , and I'll go out for a night on the town with the gang. It can be my girlfriends or guy pals, but to go out, shoot darts, play pool, dance, listen to the band and get a little tipsy, sometimes recharges me to face the world again. Its hard to be a single mom and a daycare provider and not have much contact to others besides the PC.
Seeing as many of us get so much strength from prayer, what if once a week, I post a thread that is just titled, "Prayer requests". If someone on MB has a prayer request, they could always just add it to the list and those of us who are willing could join in like our own prayer chain??
I think there was a prayer section to this thread, but I honestly only have limited time, and I am staying right here. Anyone willing, just join in.
Prayers and hugs to all,Dana
