Hi friends, <P>While I was reading a thread on How do you get strength, there were a lot of people who get their strength from prayer.<P>Would anyone be interested in a prayer chain? I have one at our church, basically, we would just post a thread saying Prayer chain, and anyone who wanted to be added for any reason, ill family, themselves, jobs, moves, etc, could just add themselves. <P>I also light a candle everynight, I forget, but I think it was Lor who started it a while ago. I usually think of everyone here when I blow it out at night. WHen it catches on fire and I forget to literally put it out, you guys are forgotten in my prayers, but most of the time, if there are no fires, or ambulances at my house, I do this daily anyhow.<P>If your interested, just add to this one and we'll see how it goes.<P>Hugs and Prayers, Dana<BR>

Hi friends,<P>My prayer requests go to<P>A friend with a beautiful little boy battling a brain tumor but none the less, he is tougher than me on any day of the week.<P>A friend who was just in a car accident and suffered a loss.<P>My grandpa who has a 90% blocked artery and can't fix it for a few months, hopefully he makes it that long. (he's 86) , and can I add, been married 60+ years!! <P>Myself for strength tomorrow at the attorneys, to get some good news on my full time daycare and extra strength not to drop a tray on someone's head at my new waitressing career (believe me it will be shortlived!)<P>Taylor to continue stable in her health as she has for the last 2 weeks.<P>Prayers and hugs, Dana<BR>

I'd like to add a few myself.<BR>A prayer to a dear friend of mine with some very tough times ahead of her.<P>And a prayer for all of us here on the boards dealing with all the garbage we have to deal with, none of which we believe we deserve and a hope that we'll be able to move along with our lives and not lose faith in the institution of marriage simply because our significant others became selfish and short sighted and lost sight of the overall picture.<BR>Jax.

I'll join. By the way, I am on the prayer ministry team where I attend church. I will add to our list anyone who e-mails me expressly. I frequently add my friends on this BB to my personal prayers. For specific requests I will give your name to our ministry team if asked to do so. <P>As for my personal requests, please add:<P>-My children<BR> -Gillian, who is having a tough time emotionally with some things at school and in ballet class. All her plans for the year are blowing up in her face - got moved out of her class with her long desired teacher, didn't get to be on the safety patrol, didn't get to be a K or 1st grade helper, doesn't know if she'll make the show choir, has the same roll in ballet Christmas show that she had last year.<BR> -Nate who acts unjustifiably angry toward me everytime he doesn't get his way. I'm really having a hard time with him. And he's only seven.<BR>-My hip which has hurt for months and now I have to spend money on physical therapy<BR>-My issues concerning x's remarriage. I don't want him but, no matter how I try to deny it, this is bothering me.<BR>-My motivation on a job search. That I may have better vision and determination.<BR>-My friends Jay and Kim and friends Mike and Lisa who are struggling in their marriages though they have very different problems.<BR>

So, are we doing this or not? I need to be pointed on the way sometimes.

Right now I'd like to add my daughter. She's having such a hard time.<P>Last year she wanted to have Ms. Stark for her teacher this year. And she lucked up and ended up in her class - along with 30+ other children. The school got a new 4th grade teacher and guess who was among the students sent to the new teacher? You got it, my daughter. She didn't take it well.<P>She is at a K-4 school so the 4th graders get some privileges and responsibilities. When they assigned students to the safety patrol, which she wanted to be on, they didn't pick her. When they chose the K & 1st grade helpers, which she wanted to be, they didn't choose her. When the had the first cut for the show choir, she didn't make that despite the fact that whe has all sorts of credentials for it. On top of that she is nearly ten and already has periods and her father is getting married this weekend. <P>Oh, and her big Christmas ballet program she's to be in - she has the same roll as last year. She loves going to ballet but is now talking about not doing it next year.<P>Life just isn't going her way lately.<P>And the principal of her school isn't a very strong proponent of communication. This means I have to get all the professional opinions lined up in my corner before I talk to the principal. And I'll have to take a "Strong" pill so that I won't get upset and cry.<P>Frankly, I'm scared to take on this task. But I have no choice when my child is struggling so much.<P>
