Morning all, had a rough night again last night! You know tossing and turning, many thoughts running through the head about trying to fix the marriage.
I continue to sleep in a different room but want so much to be near my wife. She actually touched me this morning when she left for work because she wanted to be sure I was up.
First time she has touched me in weeks! I know it doesn't mean anything but the human contact feels good.
I see my therapist today (it has been two weeks)and I look forward to the session.
I also picked an empty bottle of perfum out of the garbage today so I could buy some for my wife. It is Halston and I just love the way it smells on her.
What do you think should I buy the perfum?

Oh my gosh! You know how the obvious can be so magnificently obscured until.....
When I read what you did, I had a sudden realization that I should have had 5 years ago. The perfume was what did it.
In the disintegration of my marriage, my sister confessed that x had sort of hit on her not long after we got married. She says she told him no. I have no reason not to believe her. I had known this for years but not wanted to recognize it.
Duh---that was his first EA. That means he had at least two. Were there others I don't know about?
What triggered this realization was the name of your wife's perfume. My sister wore Halston and I love it but x wouldn't let me wear it because it smelled like her.
Should you buy your wife some more? I have no advice on that. But I can tell you another fragrance that smells wonderful - Angel. It has no flowers in it. Main scents are chocolate, raspberries, vanilla, and patchoulli (I think). Comes in a blue container shaped like a star. Hard to find though.
Boy, how dumb and in denial can an educated woman be? Or man?

Buy it. But don't give it to her directly, just open it up and put it where her old bottle used to go. I think it would be a much nicer "thought", knowing you weren't looking for a "thank you" or anything else from her.

That is a cool idea, I had thought of doing that! I like it!
