Well I did it. Yesterday I signed off on the divorce agreement and now I just have to wait. I wasn’t as emotional about it as I thought I was going to be. I even sent an email to my wife wishing her a happy anniversary! I hope that wasn’t too cruel?
Thanks to all for your support and your prayers.

------------------
JH93

Hi Jayhawk, I am sorry. I think everyone is suprised at the "numb" feeling, when you sign these things, or after a court date, or when you get word it is official.
No, it wasn't cruel. I don't think the reality of the situation has sunk in with your wife - she has an unrealistic view of life, right now. That was a good reminder.
What has struck me about you in all your posts, is the decency in you. There isn't any spiteful anger, no vindictiveness - there is a maturity, a patience, and an acceptance of your situation, that so many people take a long to get, and many never do.
You are going to do fine in your new future, which may, or may not include your wife. Your class has made moving on or reconciliation possible. Good luck!
