I miss it the most when I watch a movie on TV and "they" finally get together. I crave for someone to hold me and kiss me - even without the sex.

I had the most awful, and kinda funny, sex-related experience this weekend. This weekend was pretty difficult for me, but good in a way. We did the "who wants which things" talk this weekend.
Anyway, I really enjoy reading and I also really enjoy the Arthurian Legend--it's all so hopelessly romantic and chivalrous. So naturally at the Barnes & Noble store when I saw the book "Guenievere: Queen of the Summer Country" I bought it. So this weekend, feeling sorta bummed, I grabbed the book and started reading. Got to a section about Lancelot and Guenievere seeing each other and love at first sight and all that, and my heart skipped a beat. A few chapters later, when Lancelot and Guenievere get together, it was so well written and dreamy romantic that I almost fainted. It wasn't a "romance novel" at all, but just part of the story, ya know. But there I was absolutely swooning over this love story between the two of them.
Okay, I know I'm also the marachino cherries lady, but that totally blew me away. I literally felt the story and felt the words, and it was really something.
Has anyone else been totally blown away when I romantic scene comes up in a book or movie?
CJ
------------------
Judge your success by what you had to give up in order to get it.

How about sprinkles? Now for the burning question, do you make the body sundae in the tub, or just write off the bed clothes for that evening? [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
I've got this incredible urge for a popsicle now. Go figure.

------------------
nick
it's only time that heals the pain and makes the sun come out again

CJ
I watched "Nina gets a lover" this past week and at one point they made love by looking at each other the whole time (so that they can't imagine doing it with someone else) and it "struck a chord in me" ...
Seems like when ever someone "finally" gets the other one it makes me feel like "me, too".
------------------
Nick,
The body sundae is definately made in the bed! Don't worry about the sheets, they're washable! [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com] The tub would be too uncomfortable!
Definately sprinkles too!!
Mitzi [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]

"I'd like to think that I'm immune to this stuff--oh yeah.
It's closer to the truth to say I can't get enough
You know, I'm gonna have to face it
I'm addicted to love..."

They don't sell popsicles in my commisary! But they do sell nutty bars--does that count?
Last but not least, body sundae in the bedroom, buy more sheets if need be, and moisturized body lotion in the tub--with candles of course. Oh... someone mentioned a tub and candles....
We used to have one of those big garden tubs... Well, I came home from work one night totally stressed out only to find that X had filled the tub and used my favorite bath oil..... there was a bottle of my favorite wine sitting on the stairs, and a dozen rose shaped floating candles in the tub. *Sigh*.... I never did get all the wax out of the carpet [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com].
Ok, so the floating candles did me in.... I have 2 boxes of them waiting for a romantic evening in my hot tub... maybe I'll take a few of them to Nashville... [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com] we can use them in the Bible Study.
Back to the food.... any really juicy fruit (citrus is not really good though)... ya know, so the juice that drips just has to be licked up [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com] [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]

[This message has been edited by Butterfly (edited October 30, 2000).]

Oh no! Jayhawk's Sex Thread has come to a standstill! CJ to the rescue.
What is the hottest "non-porn" love scene you have seen in movie. Which scenes really take your breath away? And why? What makes it so ...hot?
Come on, guys jump in on this one too.
CJ
------------------
Judge your success by what you had to give up in order to get it.

Hey CJ,
Great question....
Since we have been discussing "Sexual Food"... the first scene that comes to mind is from 9 1/2 weeks... you know... in the kitchen... with the fridge door open... eggs, fruit, ICE!
My next favorite is from Bull Durham... when Kevin Costner (YUMMY ~ Pant Pant Pant) says he likes Slow, Wet kisses that last for days.... Gets me in the pit of my stomach every time. Ok, so it's more romantic than sexy... but it works for me.
Ok guys....what "does it" for you??
Smooches,
Busty
