(((Trapped mom)))
It takes a long time to be ready. It sounds like you are having an up moment. Thats good. Hopefully you'll have more and more, but don't forget you'll have down ones too.
Thats a lot of change right now. When it settles down, you'll start thinking more again.
I pity my Ex too. I can't believe what he did, throw everything away for OW. But he did. I hope one day he feels the grief I felt, so he doesn't do this to someone else AGAIN, (except OW is ok).
In all honesty though, you are going to become so busy you will get through this.
We all do, eventually.
Good luck,!!!
Dana
Dear Trapped Mom,
It is good to hear that you have picked up some pieces of your shattered life. Working full-time and making plans are very rejuvenating and soon you will be able to see the situation with a different viewpoint.
You are still raw and I know that there will be times when you feel the valley again. After my divorce from the first husband who was abusive and WS, I also felt a sense of loss because I thought that a marriage is supposed to last a lifetime. However, life brings more than its share of disappointments, pain, frustrations, and unpredictable actions of others. So, the secret is really to live your life in God's light and then you can be joyful and peaceful no matter what.
As you work to heal completely from the betrayal, there are a few books I would like to recommend because I think they help:
The power of a praying parent by Stormie Omartian
Rejection by Derek Prince
Forgive and Forget - healing the hurts you do nor deserve by Lewis B. Smedes.
If you go click FIND, you can type NSR, and Notable threads/posts, or Books.
I pray that you will gradually but steadily shine for yourself, your children and people who care for you.
God Bless YOu
weep
