Hey guys, I know that this is going to probably sound stupid, but I wanted to do it anyway, and today I kind of need it.
Whenever a good friend of mine or I get blue I try and think of a happy thought to help make us feel a bit better. Sometimes they are just silly little things that have popped into my head and made me smile.
I was wondering if today you guys could help me make a happy thought list by adding yours to mine.
Thanks.....
-My son
-Waiting for the sun to shine (it has been rainy and overcast here for longer than I can remember)
-my friends
-a daisy
-playing hookie from work

-Java

Java,
Okay I'll bite. Here's my happy thought list:
I can turn up the radio in my car as loud as I want to!
I can resign from adulthood for a few hours.
Playing street football with my kids.
The turning Aspens.
Mozart.
Rootbeer floats. Coke floats
Reading a book for pleasure, not for work.
Candles.
My dog, Spuds. She always gives me lots of love when I come home.
You and Jayhawk and Nick and Cinderella and the rest of our goofy gang.
It sounds like your feeling kinda bummed out today. I know, that's an early 70's phrase that means feeling blue. Hope these happy lists give you a chin up, but if not, you know where to find us--on Jayhawk's Sex Thread (haha).
You're in my prayers today,
CJ

Realizing that strong people with good motives/goals and practice makes perfect attitudes, are worthy of admiration, and get lots of respect.
Watching kids grow up with no fears of trying new ideas.
Watching kids enjoy themselves by stretching themselves to learn.

![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/grin.gif) Realizing that in 3 months, the last weekend in January, there's a MB D/D thread "convention" at the hot tub ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/shocked.gif) of the Holiday Inn Brentwood just outside of Nashville. And all the regulars on this board are invited. ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/grin.gif)
Oh, yeah, and I love using the smilies on my posts. ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/wink.gif)

Thanks guys!!! Sometimes it is easier to smile when you hear other people's happy thoughts.
c00ker- Sunsets... definatly nice! We get some pretty ones out here too!! That is when the sun can break through the clouds!
CJ- 70's term or not... I have used and still use the term bummed out! Along with a few others that I am sure are out of date! As for the sun... I think you sent some my way today. The clouds broke up some and there were patches of blue sky. I am unfortunatly a warm weather person. When winter comes it is time for indoor sports, not much of one for skiing or things like that.
blindsided123 & whenIfindthetime - watching the world through the eyes of my son is one of the best things that there can be! They truly are what makes it worth it, aren't they.
Cinderella- as TEMPTING as it is (and believe me, it is tempting) I know that I will be able to make it to Nashville come January. A bit too far for me to travel at this point in time. But I guarentee that I will be thinking of all of you that weekend!
Take care of yourselves!
-Java
OH!! one more happy thought for the list!!!!
being able to come here when a person is happy or sad and finding good people here who care about one another. (oh, and of course, Jayhawks sex thread!!!)
