I had a dream last night. Would anyone like to tell me what they think it means?
I was cleaning out the garage ("his" territory) and I was bitten in the hand by a small rattlesnake. His fang got stuck in my hand, so I was able to catch him. He wasn't very big, so I wasn't very frightened by the bite, but it hurt like heck. I figured I better go to the hospital, but I wasn't in a huge rush because the snake was so small. I started to feel my hand go numb--kind of tingling, pins and needles, and started to feel incredibly sleepy (in my dream), so I laid down on "our" bed and went to sleep. I could feel my muscles getting numb, but it just felt so good to lay there that I stayed in bed. Then I had the most sound sleep of my life--as if I had never slept before.
What do you think? I'm interested to hear your thoughts, because I don't usually remember my dreams, and this one was clear.
CJ
------------------
Judge your success by what you had to give up in order to get it.

CJ,
First, the little rattlers are more dangerous than the big ones... the venium is more consentrated.
Now for my Dr. Ruth interpretation [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
The Little Snake.... a direct reference to de size of his manhood [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
Having the best sleep ever... well, hon, you need to get some to releive your tension. And I'm not talking about sleep! [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com] But, since the bite from the little snake made you numb... I think you need to find another snake! [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
Actually, I think it means you're not quite ready to tackle the garage yet... and/or you might find something that will upset you.
{{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}}
Flutterby
[This message has been edited by Butterfly (edited October 30, 2000).]

Butterfly,
I gave you interpretation some thought, and I think you may have something there. In my dream the garage is "his territory" and I'm cleaning through it, tidying up. There's something in there that I'm afraid of, yet not terrified, just dont' really want to find it. Hmmmm. Yeah. I don't think I'm ready to dive in a clean, because that means it's really over.
Good one. Good insight.
CJ
------------------
Judge your success by what you had to give up in order to get it.

Dear FaithfulWife,
I love this stuff! And I don't believe that rattlesnakes or any snakes are necessarily phallic. Ancient cultures worshipped them for wisdom and medicine.
I like a country song about a woman out on the plains in a snowstorm. A snake in her path pleads with her to carry him inside her coat so that he won't freeze to death. She refuses at first, saying she doesn't want to be bitten and die but he convinces her to trust him and promises that ever after he will be her special friend and protect her from all snakes for her kindness. She gives in, and puts him inside her coat. he bites her over the heart, she gets sick and falls to the ground, covered in snow. She complains "You promised me you wouldn't hurt me!" and he replies "You knew I was a snake!"
You're not trusting your husband.
I had a similar dream recently. I picked upa mojave green rattlesnake (for which there is no known antidote). I didn't grab it close enough to the head to keep it from twisting its neck and biting me on the right breast, it's fangs pierced my white cotton blouse. I soon picked up another (same species) and made the same mistake. It also struck at my breast. I opened my blouse to check whether its fangs had pierced more than the first layer of skin. They hadn't.
I also have trust issues. [NO, Really???!!!]

------------------
Belle, Domestic Goddess

CJ,
Glad I could help. I think Bella has a good point about trust issues too.
Are you usually afraid of snakes? I think that would make a difference. Since you grabed it, I'd say it didn't scare you, but it's something that will cause you emotional pain... "it hurt like heck". And, true, cleaning out "his" territory does make things seem more final. I just went through that last night.... my X moved out of state, and in with his latest twinky... definatly final.
You didn't take my Dr. Ruth interp. seriously did ya? I figured that it would get lost on Jayhawks thread... it was ment tongue in cheek. [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
Hope you have pleasent dreams tonight!
B
