I guess I'm an [censored] or something. Wife and I had agreed and signed the parenting plan as negotiated 10 days ago. We forgot to include the summer vacation period in there. Wife suggested we contact the mediator to amend the plan which she would have done gladly without the cost to both of us of having the attorney file the amendment. I said I would take care of it. Well like I said, I'm a jerk. I didn't call the mediator. I called my attorney. He was not happy that I had even agreed to parenting plan with wife and he sent a subpeona to court house filing an objection to the plan. This was done on the very last day we could have filed an objection, worse yet, one hour before the judge would have signed the agreement. <P>Needless to say, wife is quite upset with me. She couldn't figure out why I would run to my attorney when we could have fixed this using the mediator. Now we can't go backwards. Now we will go forward with a court date of Jan. 3rd. And right now, since I'm such an [censored], I'm fearing that she'll change her mind on the custody agreement we had.<P>Am I a jerk or what??

My question is did your attorney do this without telling you that he was going to do it?

You have to watch those attorneys. They are out to get the most they can. My x's wanted her to take half the lawn care equipment and sporting goods too. She was moving into an apartment and hates sports.
