Ok, in the spirit of Thanksgiving, I thought I would give us a thread just to post what we are thankful for. Most of the time we post what is bothering us or hurting us and I thought this would be a nice change.
I am thankful for so much in my life right now...
(1) My 3 healthy and beautiful sons
(2) My parents who take care of my kids while I work
(3) My job that helps me provide for my children
(4) My health
(5) Happiness that I have finally found
(6) My best friend Beth
(7) All of you guys who brought me this far
Thank you all for being here to cry with and laugh with! Or to just listen!
Love you all!
Mitzi ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/smile.gif)

I am so glad you started this thread, Mitzi!
This year it's hard to feel thankful, but I do have a few things, and I want to remind myself:
1)Two beautiful, healthy, loving children
2)My job--it's a job I enjoy and it provides for us
3)My co-workers--I love them and they have been very supportive.
4)My health
5)My support group--seven women who have been to hell and back with each other
6)I have a best friend that I love dearly
7)Most of all, I am thankful for people in here. I can't name everyone, because I'm sure I would forget someone really important, but I hope you all know who I mean, and I hope you all know how VERY much you have each meant to me.
Love and hugs EVERYWHERE!
CJ

------------------
Judge your success by what you had to give up in order to get it.

Nick,
That's why I started this thread. To let us see that even though the holidays are tough, we can still find things to be thankful for, even if they might be only little things.
Take care,
Mitzi ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/smile.gif)

Hey, I'm fine. The holidays have never been all that special to me. I guess the hardest part is going to be having her around during the two biggest holidays, knowing that it's probably all over & she feels nothing for me.
------------------
nick
it's only time that heals the pain and makes the sun come out again

I am thankful for my 3 beautiful teenage children who have been my biggest supporters
I am thankful for my job and my co-workers who without them I would have a much less fulfilling life.
I am thankful for my family as they have been there with me the past year every step of the way
I am thankful for my best friend Sara and thankful that is she finally going to have the healthy happy baby she has waited so long for
To make a long list short I am just very thankful for many things. Life may not always go the way you want it but if you stop and look at what you do have its not that bad.
Peace
Jill

I just wrote to jamie-lee (Emotions all over the place) that accepting that "he/she feels nothing" is the hardest blow, isn't it? At least it is for me. That dead look in his eye--or sometimes there's even hate. The way he just acts like all of our years together meant nothing, or if they meant anything, they were AWFUL. The deep down knowledge within myself that he just does not love me anymore AT ALL. God, that hurts like a kick in the teeth, and sets my heart to aching every time.
But I also wrote to Cinderella (Joy) that I can't let him win. If I go around sad and moping (like I kind of feel), he wins and I have given him another one of my days. I'm not willing to let him have one more day of my life, if he's gonna throw me away. So, I'm concentrating HARD on the people who do know me and love me (anyway), and on the joys of life (like sunrise and sunset), and on the future--not the past.
Nick, what she has done to you is unbelievable. The pain she has caused is devastating. It's true. But don't let her win, Nick. Don't give her another day of your life, and your joy, and your love. For a few minutes, let the hugs of your friends sink in, and for a few minutes feel gratitude for what you DO have:
your job that you love so well
your son, who loves you dearly
your home
your car
your music
your bikes
your beach
your song
your decorating plans
and most of all, your friends here who enjoy you and get a kick out of your quips and naughty writing.
{{Nick}}
CJ

------------------
Judge your success by what you had to give up in order to get it.

Good idea, Mitzi!
I give thanks for:
1)having two wonderful kids, who struggle with life like everyone else.
2)the power of the internet to bring together caring, wonderful people who support each other in positive, sometimes hilarious, ways to get us through these difficult times, that we wouldn't have met without it.
3) the caring, wonderful, insightful people here who responded to my cries for help and understanding, who forced my growth at a time when it is difficult to see very far.
4)for my health, and playing sports with kids half my age reminds me that in order to maintain yourself, you need to keep your health and your fitness.
5) that having a best friend to share yourself with is what the connection is all about, and makes life very precious.
6)that we have so many differences in opinions that we cannot afford to alienate people just because we are afraid to learn or acknowledge that someone else might be right or different.
7)<plagurization follows, I can't say it better> Most of all, I am thankful for people in here. I can't name everyone, because I'm sure I would forget someone really important, but I hope you all know who I mean, and I hope you all know how VERY much you have each meant to me. <end plagurism, footnote CJ>
tom
thl
WIFTTy
Happy Thanksgiving
