Hey all,
I Hope everybody found something to be Thankful about yesterday , I sure did !!! I spent my turkey day with the folks who I helped build a house for ( Habitat for Humanity ) , the joy in that family made up for the months of internal greif I have been suffering and it gave me a sense of purpose. Everything happens for a reason , and maybe this was the wakeup call sent from above to let me know " Gary get off your [censored] and help other people " Well I have and no matter what happens with my EWTB or my health I need to be a asset to society and will continue to do so......Try it , those of you down in the dumps , it works !!! Find a charity or a cause to wrap yourself in.
I find my ex to be surrounding her self with all the negative reinforcement she can to increase the fog cover , I instead want to be in the light and allow the world to see me as I am....... A month to Christmas and there was a miracle then.......
------------------
Yesterday is history , tommorrows a mystery , and the present is a gift , thats why its a present

Hi Gary,
Happy Thanksgiving to you.
I'm glad you gave. It's always so much better to give than to receive.
I'm not overly religious, but I am very spiritual, and I believe that with all my heart.
Sometimes we do need a slap on the chops to remind us of how lucky we are.
Yes we are all dealing with some pretty painful things right now, but our lives are not completely without hope, or love, or friends, or family, or MB, or great jobs, or great children, or, or or,
you get my meaning I think....
I'm so proud of you.
take care of you, and many hugs for you
Jo
ps.
are we the only 2 people awake?? It's 2310 here, and I often find the time difference a killer. I'm going to bed, as you guys are waking up.......
Even now, my eyes are falling out of my head....!!!

Gary,
Thats great about the habitat project. That is just what you need to keep you occupied at a time like this, plus the physical work alone from it is a good release also.
Glad to hear you made it ok, just remember that there will be good days and bad days, and the more positive you are, the less down days you might have.
Your on the right track ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/smile.gif)
Dana
Gary,
The Habitat for Humanity project always fascinated me. While I am not in the construction industry (or anything similar), I do know my way around power tools and such. To be honest I have always been interested in maybe participating in a project, but have no idea of the time involved in doing so. And yes I could contact the organization directly, but as a die-hard procrastinator I always "forget".
Can you fill me in a little on the details?
Thanks
Mike

Gary - you seem to have struggled so much in the last little while that I'm thrilled to see that your holiday was joyful. You know, when I started through this valley of shadows, a friend told me that sometimes it was good to take a look at other people's trials to make your own look so manageable. And that does work. It also works to take a look at the successful things you have had a hand in.
Congratulations.
