I'm officially divorced. It's been 29 hours now, and I don't think it has quite sunk in.
I really didn't think it would happen, especially when he turned up in court. He didn't have to be there. He spoke to my parents, and my Dad said he sobbed. My dad said that my husbands heart was breaking. Anyway, it's over, maybe now we can get all this behind us.
Can I share an email with you all, that I have just sent him. It says it all.
"I just wanted to say that yesterday all I wanted to do was hug you, and look at you. For obvious reasons, I couldn't. My heart was breaking. I really never thought that it would come to that.
You will always be so special to me.
I look back on our marriage and think that there were no bad times. Just periods where we should have made more time for each other. And times where we should have put each other first, instead of everything and everyone else.
If ever you need me, I'll be there for you.
I love you."
Stupid isn't it. This is the guy who has trampled on my heart, and left me a single mother. WE never wanted our children to be from a broken home. And because he chose not to even try to sort this out, that's what we are. But my children are so loved, by both of us and my family and friends, that they will be ok. I thank God everyday that although this has happened, it could have been a hell of a lot worse.
And I will move on, and make the best of this. I have learnt so much, and I think I have grown so much. That has to make me a bit better doesn't it??????
love and hugs to you all
Jo

Hi Jim,
thank you so much for being there for me. How are you? Did you get all the test results back. I went AWOL for a while, but I did think of you often and wonder how you were. I'm so sorry you're going through it too.
I feel as though I've cut off my arm at the moment, it doesn't seem real. Seeing him yesterday standing at the window, crying his eyes out, I wanted to scream at him, why are you doing this.....
if he wants this so bad, why is he so upset..????? Why is he always unhappy...
I will never understand this.
Your boys will grow up fine young men. I just know they will. You and I have such similar attitudes where our children are concerned. They come first. As they should.
take care of you, and know that I'm thinking of you.
big hugs my friend
Jo

{{{{{{{{{{Bonnet}}}}}}}}}}
What a wonderful e-mail. I think when this is over for me, I'll send it to her.
I'm very sorry it ended Jo. I think so many relationships can survive if both people look at all the positive parts, forgive the negative parts and commit to working it out. Sometimes it seems so simple that I can't believe it doesn't work out more often.
It's not stupid. You still have feelings for him and probably always will. Caring, loving people really don't change. At least I hope not.
Take care Jo, I'm thinking of you.....
------------------
nick
it's only time that heals the pain and makes the sun come out again

Hugs and prayers to you....
The email-- Not stupid at all.
You know I would do anything for my stbx. I love him and always will. I use to pray that my love will go away, but some wise soul asked me, why would I want that? He told me to pray for the pain to go away, because the love never will. Your love was/is real--UNCONDITIONAL!!
So that is my prayer to you. That the pain would stop. And yes I do believe, thru trial and tribulations, that you become a better person. You are in control, Jo. And from what I've read of your posts, you have taken complete control over your feelings and future. You have not let the seperation and now divorce define who YOU TRULY ARE-- and that is a phenominal woman.
You truly encourage me....Thank you and God Bless!

------------------
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change...Courage to change the things I can...And the wisdom to know the difference.
lady_divine77@yahoo.com
