You are so funny!
I lost so much weight on the D/D diet that I am now a foxy little hotty. ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/tongue.gif) In fact, I'm starting to do some weight lifting and stuff to get back into my gymnastics training shape. It's a challenge, but it should be fun. Do you think it's possible for a 38yo to do the front splits and the side splits? Wow, I'm not sure!!
However, I'm with you--I wouldn't recommend it to anyone!!
Okay, here's a quick question for you. Did you appetite ever come back--or has it yet? Mine never has, and I don't know that I'll ever really WANT to eat again.
CJ
------------------
Judge your success by what you had to give up in order to get it.
[This message has been edited by FaithfulWife (edited December 27, 2000).]

Never had much change in appetite. I find my appetite goes up or down in response to my commitment to fitness--working out makes me eat lighter and more healthy. If I'm not working out, foods that would be anathema to me become attractive.
My shape can change a lot without my weight moving much at all. OTOH, I did lose 30 lbs. in 30 days when I was 24 or so ... I had something on my back that turned out to be a lipoma. But in between the time it was found and the time it was removed, I freaked out a little ... exercise and near-starvation diet took me from 180 down to 150.

HIO,
I'm down to 103 lbs.......the good news is I'm 5'1" and no body fat. I really would like the 10-15 lbs.back that have disappeared over the last 2-1/2 years.
Ragamuffin
[This message has been edited by Ragamuffin (edited December 27, 2000).]

My God! Ragamuffin, are you my long lost twin? Haha, just kidding!
Maybe it's just me, but this has really sapped the desire out of me--I'll often go through a whole day, then go, "Oops I forgot to eat" and then have a peach for dinner. Over the holidays, I indulged in eggnog (yummy!), cream soda, hot chocolate and almond cookies for my own pure enjoyment, and almost every day I do remember to eat dinner. Somehow, though, my appetite just never came back.
Also, just to be crystal clear, I'm WORKING on the chinese splits--I'm not there yet. These old tendons and ligaments are not as flexible as they used to be, and to be honest, as I work on it, I wonder if it's wise for a woman my age. Haha! Oh well, I'll get there. I can touch my palms to the floor and as I lean forward, touch my forehead to the floor in a very relaxing stretch. Know what I'm NOT looking forward to? The bruises on my hips from the uneven bars--ouch! Damn, they hurt when I was young! Wonder what will happen now. Also, I have to really work on my arms and my strength.
My stbx left in February, so you know what? I'm coming up on an "anniversary" of sorts in a couple months. I got the final speech on October 24th, and that date is etched in my mind forever. I don't know if my appetite will ever come back--and I don't think I'll ever sleep again real soundly either. Things just change, but I've learned to just aceept it and make the best of it. I've always been a natural night owl, so now I stay up until I'm tired and wake up to watch the sunrise. Usually a couple hours of sleep each night is plenty. And back to the eating topic, usually just remembering to eat something is plenty too.
Ask Ragamuffin...when you're small (I'm 4'10") a peach and a salad go a long way. I consider it a successful day if I remember to eat, and if I eat something good for me-- either physically good or playfully good. Since it's been eleven months now, I just figured it was a permanent change and it's not coming back. Geez, did everyone else eventually get their appetite back?
CJ
------------------
Judge your success by what you had to give up in order to get it.

I lost 12lbs the first week and a total of 24lbs over the first month. I have regained my appetite and most of those 24lbs (damn the luck ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/frown.gif) )
Now I just need to figure out how to lose my appetite again so I can drop that weight.
It felt great being at my lightest weight in 8 years.

I lost about 25 or 30 pounds the first summer. Kept it off for over a year. Then gained most of it back. Kept it on for a year or more. Then, somehow most of it went away. I've found stress or depression can cause my weight to go up or down. It appears to be cyclical for me. I sure prefer the decrease though. Hey, I'm not complaining. Would love to have time to firm it all up though. Between work and two children there's not enough time. I think that's one of the things that gripes me most about this whole divorce. He took away my financial and emotional security. He took away my social status as the stay-home wife of a white collar professional. But by-golly, he took away my ability to schedule my time as I wish.

I haven't filed yet and have already started gaining. So, one of my New Year's resolutions is before me, since behind me is about 15 lbs. I want off. Luckily I'm 5'6" and carry it okay, but just don't feel right with it hanging on. So I wonder how much it would cost to lose 15 instead of 20? (not serious)
