Become a better single parent.
Organize the menu so that I shop with the kids are here less.
Don't stay up late when the kids are here so i can get up early with the kids, and get going with them.
Figure out how to communicate with the 11 yo son, how to live at my house with less head to head conflicts. In other words, he is very similar to his mother, and he and I just go head to head, just like with the X, just different subjects.
tom

My New Year's resolution is to be a better listener.
Also, to figure out a way to have completely guilt-free, risk-free casual sex...that, and the secret to nuclear cold fusion and time travel. No biggie, huh? LOL.

[This message has been edited by TheStudent (edited January 02, 2001).]

Wow, I'm surprised more people haven't posted in this thread. Here are my goals for the new year:
1) Get in the physical shape that I find acceptable.
2) Get myself in mental and emotional shape that I find acceptable--continue to differentiate (if you know what I mean).
3) Take the plunge and let myself care about someone and connect to someone.
4) Continue to become the parent that I was meant to be and can become.
5) Continue to become the woman that God intended.
6) Get my finances in better order and start paying off all debt.
7) Set some mini-goals and mini-rewards throughout the year, to acknowledge when I've done good work.
8) Learn to allow myself more and more joy.
9) More regular spiritual contact (once a week?)
Here's a challenge: come on MBers!
CJ

------------------
Judge your success by what you had to give up in order to get it.

To continue investing in my children's future and spending quality time with them.
But also learning how to balance being a single mom, without always neglecting my own needs.
To increase my savings in order to move back to my home state without causing financial strain on my budget.
To work on healing myself and becoming whole and complete without the need of anyone in my life.
To start back working on obtaining my degree so I ca move up in the ranks quicker in my career.
To lose the weight I gained from this last pregnancy, only 20 more pounds to go, so I can fit back into my jeans without looking like I painted them on, lol.
I think that's all for now.
------------------
God, Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change...Courage to change the things I can...And the wisdom to know the difference.
lady_divine77@yahoo.com
