Why couldn't I hold on to my husband. I was a very good wife, friend, lover. Was I not good enough, I feel so rejected and abandoned. I was a very happy and optimistic person before this hell, will I return to that person?? I really need some words of advise and motivation.

Hi,
I'm sorry you are feeling pain.
But I think you will be the way you were before this happened. Better, you will be better than who you were.
Like you, I think I was happy and optimistic, now I still have lots of pain but I feel I'm a better person. I feel I've grown up..
I don't know your story but it will get better.
Hang in there!
Meg

Hi Rejected,
I have no answers for you, but God alone knows the number of times I have asked those same questions. And almost 2 years down the track I still have no answers from ex-h.
About what went wrong. All I know is that we had a tired marriage. One that needed us to spend some time together. Time I asked him to spend with me, but he was always busy at work and couldn't take time off.
I can tell you this tho. I does get easier. It does get better. The unanswered questions stop being at the forefront of your mind. They move to the middle of your mind.... Hopefully in another 2 years they will be at the back of my mind.!!! You move on. I still have a sadness that seems to envelope me at times, but I have a life for myself and my 2 children. And I have managed to stay on fairly good terms with him for the sake of my 2 beautiful babies. That makes it so much easier.
All I can say about my situation is that I firmly believe everything happens for a reason. I don't know the reason yet, but I do know that I have learnt so much and grown so much. And this site has helped me with that. No-one could possibly understand what we go through, other than those who have been through it, or are going through it.
Keep coming here, the wisdom, the grace, and the friendship that I have found here have saved me on more than one occasion. I cannot speak highly enough of everyone here.
We'll be here for you too.
keep your chin up, and focus on getting though today. Do one thing each day for you, even if it is going to a coffee shop with a girlfriend. Or having a long hot bath. But do it for you. You need to focus on you at the moment. And you need to know that you're not bad.
keep in touch, and big hugs for you
Jo
