my D was final on 12/18/00 and a final decree was issued that day. it says that i'm entitled to 1/2 half of x's government retirement...... and more particulary defined in a Qualified Domestic Relations Order signed by the court on the day this final Decree of Divorce is signed. I never saw such an order, and lawyer hasn't said anything to me about it. Is this something that is done later like in 10 years when x actually retires? anyone have experience with government retirements please respond as i'd like to stay on top of this and lawyer is always tooo busy. thanks!
