I prefer them shorter. WS's won't read the longer ones, or will just dismiss what they do read. Save the long version for your own files.

Sisyphus,
I agree with you...
...in fact I've made that comment to others when reviewing their letters...
...but in this case...
...I know this will be the last letter I will ever write to my W.
If she decides to read from it some time later...
...I wish to give her something to chew on. I might not always agree with you on all your points... but clearly, you give your soul to those to whom you respond. Thanks for the kudos. You could include the long version in a separate envelope. Perhaps give the short version outlining just the elements of Plan B and telling WS that if and when they feel ready to read more about your deeper feelings, they should open the long version but that you know that right now they would be inclined to scoff so please wait until they are in a receptive frame of mind.

I can't comment on it other than say I read it old friend. I am myself in pieces right now so I will not pretend to know what to say to you other than you are in my prayers.
------------------
1Co:2:4: And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:
1Co:2:5: That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.
