Though I probably shouldn't laugh at this but it just tickled hell out of me today...
Remember a few months back when I told you all that LRB started going to meetings and was getting off drugs?
Well come to find out...He has relapsed!! In fact he picked up his 90 day clean chip loaded!! In fact I wager he was using the whole time!!
It is just too poetic that STBX is reliving 5 years ago...and loving it!! Go figure!!
Bill

I think she is so co-dependant that she has to have someone to fix and has her love validated in that sick manner...
Our live was going too smooth and normal, so she added chaos to it...
Who knows...
Bill

I will never figure these people (WS) out.
I'm so proud of you for staying clean and sober. You know you've been in my thoughts when I have wanted to get smashed. To forget about this pain and just drink and drink and drink. I never have had a drinking problem, but I think I can safely say that you stopped me from having one through all this.
If that's what she wants, I feel for her. Her life is not going to be easy, and isn't that the understatement. I have a friend whose h was an alcoholic/drug user. He's been clean for over 10 years now, but in times of stress for him I know she still worries. It's always in the back of her mind.
Here's your W going for all that a second time. Must have rocks in her head.
you keep taking care of you and your baby. We are the winners here, not them. Look at how much we are changing for the better, and they seem to be going backwards.
big and bigger hugs
Jo

How many spouses have left one drunk for the sole purpose of finding another drunk? How many have left one abusive relationship only to become involved with another abuser?
We were taught from day one that alcoholism is a family disease, and that well applies to addiction as well. When I first went to AA, my ex went to an Al Anon meeting. Those wonderful people told her she was crazier than I was. And for that I shall be forever grateful! ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/grin.gif)
There isn't a whole lot you can do about it. I recently marked my 22nd anniversary of continuous sobriety, but it took me thirty years to do it. About a third get the program the first time around, another third have to go out and fight another round and the rest wind up in jail, an institution or the grave.
This is a cruel observation, but I think we need that third who fail to kick sense into the rest of us. One of the early writers on Alcohol Addiction remarked that there is no permanence of sobriety without a profound change in attitude. My friend, the hardest thing I ever had to do was change my own attitude!
It is OK that you got a laugh from the fact that LRB picked up the ninety day chip with a load on. Certainly there is irony in the fact that your STBX in continuing in her patter of behavior. After you have had your laugh, think about this too. There but for the grace of God go I. Remember this is still one day at a time for all of us, and it is still a selfish program.
Every alcoholic, every addict, and every cross addicted still has all the prerequisites for another load. There is no such thing as an alcoholic who can't get his hands on another drink. There is no such thing as an addict who can't lay his hands on his drug of choice; The supply is forever protected.
The question is whether or not one has another recovery in him.
Keep comming back! It works! It works!
Bumper
