Well, Thurs will be my one year anniversary for the divorce. Not sure how I will feel. Last week was pretty crappy with numerous encounters with om/h.
I guess the best news is my kids are doing fine. Their grades are fine and they are quite(and that is putting it lightly active) active. Both of these are signs that they are adjusting fine according to their counselors. They both seem more at ease going over to their mother's.
I guess I place myself at 80%, can you ever be 100% when 20 yrs of your life are just thrown away.
Life is moving on though and I am meeting some wonderful people/women. I guess I am reaching that time when I am comfortable being alone.
Also I owe a debt of gratitude to all you fine folks on this site who helped me through a lot of the hard times.
To quote Jim, I think, " I wish us all, the best."
Bob

It's good that you'll soon make it past the one year mark. Being 80% back is quite an accomplishment. Meeting new people is the icing on the cake. Hang in there.

Isn't it amazing how much has happened in one year. Who would have ever thought we would be where we are now over a year ago.
Jen

I've been here for 7 months. (Thanks for making me think of time. [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]) I also have over 250 posts. Good grief, that's scary!

Bob,
Wow, a year after the divorce. I've been apart from my ex for just over a year (not that I'll ever forget when he left), but it is a long hard road.
I agree, that's great to be back at 80%! On most days, I'm probably 80% too, today I feel like 40%, but I have these days every now and then, and its not usually directly because of ex, but because of some other event that all leads back to him.
Kids are amazing, and although it is NEVER an ideal situation that their parents divorce, at least they have the ability to continue on in their school and sports and not be failures because of it. We all just do what we have to when there isn't much other choice I guess.
Why are you dealing with OM now? I may have missed a post because I don't come here often anymore.
Hang in there, and hope you reach 100% by your next year mark.
Hugs, Dana
[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
I've seen first-hand(well if this forum can be considered "first-hand") how much you've grown. Someday soon, some woman is going to be very, very lucky....
Luv ya, bro...
--DeWayne--
P.S. I think that quote came from Zippy's(Medic) signoff....

Hey Bob,
Glad to hear you and the kids are doing well. Alright, well enough because of the situation.
I couldn't be better, but, of course I hit my head a lot. I woundn't trade the time I had with Valerie for anything. Ok, well maybe a few days I would. It would have to be for a pitcher and a great second baseman.
Give me a piece of string and I'll be happy for hours.
Stay well my friend.
Wishing us all the Best.
Zippy the Pinhead, Stringmaster

Thanks all for your replies!!!! You truly are all my friends.
The day passed without incident or pain.
Dana, I had a couple chance encounters with om/h last week. There probably will be more since he came to my d's bball game so I expect him to start coming to all the kids stuff.
