Can anyone here who has been through Friend of the Court conciliation help me out with what to expect, what I should prepare for, what to bring or get proof of, etc.?
I asked in another thread, but that one went off on a bit of a tangent. [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]

It really depends on the state. Where I am in California, it depends on the county.
For example, in Los Angeles County, where my divorce is happening, the conciliators can only communicate with the judge if an agreement is reached.
In San Diego County, where I live, the conciliators make a recommendation to the judge and the recommendation usually becomes the order.
So you need to find out the rules for where you are. You might try www.deltabravo.net/custody. They are pretty anti-marriage there, but there is a lot of good information about court. You might also try www.divorcenet.com. They have state specific board where you might get your question answered.
Good Luck. This can be a very nervous time. Try to keep the children's best interests at heart and everything will turn out OK.
