RWD
Don't know what area you live or what demomination you go to...but I know that
one of the churches I have gone to had a Single Parents Sunday School Class..I don't
know that they use anything other than the
what the other Sunday School classes use..
if You read you'll find there were many Single Parents in the Bible..whom you can learn from.. Lot became a single father..after his wife turned to a Pillar of salt..Hagar, the maidservant of Sarai had a child with Abraham..to name a couple..
There is also a book I'll have to locate it..
called Single Parenting...I have it around here somewhere I found it at the Christian Book store years ago..gives Biblical things for Single Parents..I bought it..so I know it's around here somewhere...
You can ask someone in the Financial area
to come and speak to them on manageing a budget..(since being a single parent your finances change and you have the same expenses in most cases) I'll post more later..I need to get to work..
Bob
There are two divorce recovery organizations that have a lot of resources:
Fresh Start http://www.freshstartseminars.org
DivorceCare http://www.divorcecare.org
Fresh Start seems to have more geared to single parenting.
We are working on bring a Fresh Start seminar to Tucson, AZ in the April timeframe if anyone is interested.

I don't know about any groups specifically targeted towards single parents, but I went through Active Parenting classes a couple of years ago at my daughter's school...best thing I could've done!
Check out: www.activeparenting.com
They have faith-based support as well. I highly recommend them!

There is another group called Parents Without Partners. I think that is also the name of their web site (without the spaces, of course).
