Am I losing her? Its a 31 year age difference that may be catching up with us. We aren't as intimate as we used to be, but I blame that on me getting older (50) and the pressures of bills and work. (We may be on the verge of bankruptcy and I'm working 7 days to try to make ends meet.) Everything seems to be falling apart including us. She has gotten into this ICQ and is up until 2 or 3 in the morning chatting and then sometimes ends up sleeping on the sofa. It makes me feel like a necessary inconvenience. I love her dearly but sometimes wonder if she doesn't crave someone closer to her own age. She says otherwise, but how do you really know what someone is thinking. HELP!!!!!!

hjg,
Don't know if the age difference is the problem, though I can see how it might come into play. Reminds me of the video I saw last night, How Stella Got Her Groove Back.
But I can realate to the ICQ demon. My wife does not stay up until 3am but she spends enough time on it that I often feel like an inconvenience. We've clashed on this subject too many times. My biggest gripe is that she has little or no physical interaction with me throughout the day. Then late at night she'll, knowing I probably want sex, shut off the computer and come and ask if I want to go in the bedroom. I used to just say yes and be glad to get it any way I could. But now I've gotten a little too tired. She did this last night and I simply said I don't want to. She looked surprised. I said I'm tired of being alotted the last 20 minutes or so of the evening while total strangers get the bulk of the time. I've said this over and over. Now I'm getting to where I don't care. If she wants to invest her time in that and little or none with me then let her. I'm tired of begging, getting upset and worrying. I've been finding other things to do and I can continue doing them. How it's going to turn out I don't know, but a man can take just so much of not being taken seriously.
If your wife is just getting into this thing it may be rough going. It's like a new toy to her and it can very addicting. Depends on the person. If she is open to reading about it someone (Steph) posted an article on this subject right here on the forum. You can print it out and give it to her. I hope she's receptive because this chat plague is causing problems in a lot of relationships.
