I'm a bit late but I had a fabulous day Friday! Everyone should be so lucky!<P> I got dressed and my daughter told me I looked "Classy"<BR> I had a previously scheduled luncheon date with a handsome fellow - my son (who initiated it)<BR> I got a telephone call at work from another attractive man with whom I may eventually have a date<BR> I was finishing a telephone call with a stranger and the man, knowing I work for a church, told me my voice was "Alluring"<P>Everyone should have so good a day! <P>Does anyone else have good news to share. It's Monday! We need a SmileFest!

ah, the little things that will make life worth living!<P> this is my last week of work for the rest of the year!<BR> the snow is finally melting off the soccer fields, and maybe i will be able to play outdoor soccer someday!<BR> a friend of mine told me that she wants to go sailing for the first time this summer!<BR> some friends of mine are sending me presents in my old age!<BR> and my kids did tell me they loved me this morning when i dropped them off to go to school!<P>it takes awhile sometimes, but once we get there, <BR>the sun does shine again!<P>

I had lunch with my grandson today. He had formula, I had a sandwich.<P> The sun is shining, haven't seen it for months! The temperature outside is also at all-time spring high!<P> We are moving our offices at the end of the month to a newly renovated, former Monastery! I hear there are ghosts, I can't wait!<P> The home I bought last fall, gutted and worked my behind off on, is ALMOST done! Cinderella,<P>I feel that I am just getting to know you through these posts and I have certainly sympathized with you.<P>Glad to hear that you had such a wonderful weekend. We begin to savor all the nice things that happen to us.<P>I too can have some things in which to rejoice.<P>My 3-year-old grandson spent the night with me on Saturday. It's certainly good to hear the sound of "Grandma Martha." Never thought I would.<P>My daughter and I are getting along much better than we have in several years. The affair and all its debris left us both emotionally shattered.<BR> <BR>And meeting people on here who really care and support each other helps more than you know.<P>Yes, I think my mood is on the upswing today. And I'm really happy for all of you who have been counting your blessings.<P>Martha<P>For the first time in many years, I'm getting a little more than $500 on my income taxes. I'm also getting my house redone.<P>As I mentioned in another post, I just got back from Austria after a week long trip in March. And considering spending ten days in Rome next year.<P>At 58, I've met a man who has gone through some similar experiences and we both like to travel. We haven't really dated yet, but looks like we might. Right now we're interested in just having a good friend of the opposite sex.<P>I have 3 really good friends. One being the first guy I dated after my separation. We are very happy just being friends and he's there for me if I need him. The lady he's been dating for quite some time is getting to be a friend too.<P>

GDP - that's more of a grimace...you're going to have to work on it... <P>Sports - just where have all you hetero, adult, single men run off and hid yourselves at? There are none in my community apparently (I never noticed this when I was unsingle). The saying around here is "your either a newlywed or nearly dead." ARghhhh. As for the "coupling speed" question - I think that all depends on how much baggage you and the person in question plan on dragging into the room with you - the higher the pile, the slower you go.<P>Smiles - you want me to focus on some positives...hmmm...okay. I guess I was trying too hard again, huh?<P>No, things really aren't that bad right now. I'm quick to laugh, but I'm also a very intense and earnest sort of fellow, and a pollyanna attitude doesn't come naturally to me. As a typical INTP, I don't see the glass as half-full <I>or</I> half-empty. It's full, partly with water and partly with air.<P>A couple of months after my wife left me, my parents were in town for a visit, and they dropped in on my mother-in-law (who had already cut off communication with me). She told my parents that she had warned me that I needed to "lighten up". Heh. I don't remember the warning, but she was right.<BR>
