Wife told me last night that she wanted to get her own place. I love her dearly, but she wants out. I'm beginning to blame these D*** chat rooms. It seems like it all started with this ICQ. She stays up until 1 or 2 in the morning just about every night. She says its just for fun, but I'm beginning to wonder if people are putting ideas into her head. She actually considered moving 1500 miles to be with some married guy she met online less than a week before. Now what...anyone have any ideas?

Well i'm new here i just posted my 1st message...just a late warning i see-those chat rooms are DANGEROUS-been there done that- My husband had a bit of a "relationship" before we got married on irc. They are filled with people just waiting to "hook up" with anyone married or not. I dont trust when someone is up at 1 or 2 nothing but trouble comes out of it-in my case- or any time of day. People do fill your head with things. I've had it done to me. People have told me things like leave him, etc. so chat rooms are a definat no no in our "current" soon to be seprated marriage. My husband put icq on the pc and i told him to delete it. and it is gone....

hjg,
My wife and I have had bad arguments over icq. I hate the thing. The only thing that has saved us is that my wife does realize that there are a lot of people on it with too much time on their hands and nothing of real substance in their lives. She's very individualistic and, while she likes to chat, she does not allow herself to be sucked in by idiots.
Our marital situation has been improving so she has cut back her computer time out of respect for me, which I've appreciated. But I am well aware of the problem created (or contributed to) by irc.
