Hi everyone. Just venting and trying to sort out my emotions. My H and I have been separated approx 8 months. We've been through many ups and downs. In the beginning he needed time and space after being away for 4 months for training for a new career. He didn't want our daughter and me to come live with me because he was confused about what he felt. He loved me but wasn't "in love" with me. So I was devastated and cried, begged and pleaded to keep our family together. I moved down there on my own and he was completely indifferent to me and so I left after a week. I filed for divorce and started the process. We had court on Mar 23 and we decided to take one day at a time. I think I've disengaged. He called me and is coming this weekend to get my daughter and I. I don't want to go. Am I morally obligated to give him a chance? I tried to make my marriage work for so long and finally gave up. I am not involved with anyone. I am just thinking of the pros and cons, of the future with my H and everything else. Any advice/comments are appreciated.

if you don't want to go..then don't go..and don't feel guilty about it..if you'd like to see if things could be different then go and see..maybe this time away has allowed him to see things in a different light..but then again..maybe not..you may go and see that you made the right choice for yourself..but only you can decide that..
But don't go out of guilt..because then you would be thinking..WHY did I come? when you really didn't want to..
don't do anything without your whole heart being in it..
make your yes mean yes and your no mean no..God would
rather us do things because we want to..not out of feeling
like we "owe" something to Him..but because we really and truely want to do it..and I think relationships should be the same way..

Not knowing more about your relationship that's a very hard question to answer.
Personally I don't look at it as giving "him" a chance, I look at it as giving your "family" a chance.
How old is your daughter?
