You mentioned in another post that you live in the Bay Area. My folks moved from Fairfield to Halfmoon Bay last Christmas. My Dad is the project Superintendant on the San Mateo Bridge project. He also did the syzmic(sp?) retrofit on the Carquinez Bridge. Do you ever travel these roads? If you do you can tell my Dad high for me [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com] he'll be the guy standing there waving his arms and pointing with a radio in his hand [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
Just curious...
Bill

Bill,
To be honest, I try to avoid all those bridges. [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com] But I do end up on them from time to time. Many moves ago and many other states ago I used to live in Fairfield, been almost 40 years since my family moved from there. That is scary to think of.
Tell your Dad it is about time they widened the San Mateo bridges, too many flats and people running out gas with no shoulders. [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
If I do see him, I'll definitely wave with pleasure. [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
How are you doing?
Take care,
JL

JL,
Sounds as if you have lived the nomadic life of a construction bratt or a military bratt...
They in fact are about 2 miles into the additional lanes on the San Mateo bridges...
I think the folks will be moving east again next year to be closer to my S and I, actually I think they want to be closer to there Granddaughter [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
The cost of living where they are is rediculous...The house they have in Halfmoon Bay is about a 1.5 million dollar home. Anywhere else in this country it would be worth about 200K...However they are on the #17 fairway of the Halfmoon Bay country club [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com] and have a stellar view of the ocean...
Take care,
Bill
