I have been reading a lot of the posts on this eparation thing and I am surprised to see that many others are having the same problems. I guess mine isn't much different except that my wife is leaving, but 3,000 miles away. We live overseas, germany, and she wants to go home. This is the problem the best I can say... She says that she has been feeling unhappy with our marriage for about 8 months now. That translates into lack of sexual desire and not knowing if our marriage is what she really wants. She tells me that she needs to go home to find her happiness again and to see if I am the one she really wants to be with and be married to. This really hurts me. I have tried to reason with her... She came home from vacation, at home, on Monday and said as soon as she walked in the door that she has decided to leave and that is it. She says her heart is not into trying to work on our marriage right now and the only thing she can clearly think to do is leave for right now and think things over. She assures me its not about seeing other people but that she just doesn't have the desire to make love or "be" with me in mind body and spirit. This has been amazingly hard for me but I am trying my damnest to see it her way and allow her the time and space. But this could go on for a year until i return to the States and I think that is a lot to ask of me. She states that it may not be a year and that maybe she'll decide that this marriage is what she wants, but how is that supposed to make me feel? I don't really want a divorce, but is it going to work. A female perspective on what she may be feling would help greatly. She isn't able or wanting to discuss her feelings right now and she is just getting frustrated when i try. Is there a chance that when she gets home she'll go wow, we do have a great relationship? We do have a great friendship and mutual love. We respect eachother very much and we trust and give considerable freedoms to our wishes. I may have missed the signs and didn't work on it enough, I don't know, but now she thinks it is the end of the world and she has to leave. What is she going through and what is she going to do? Thanks for any responses

How did you wind up in Germany? Military? Was she involved in the decision? It could be that has no friends or social support there.<p>It can be torturous to move yourself halfway around the world. She may not be able to handle it.
