My WAW has agreed to couseling for the sake of the children and I'm looking at both the marriage builders program and the Divorce Busting program, I think I have one shot to save the Marraige. I purcahsed the book DB but have not given it to her, can we effective work both programs, seeing a SBt therapist and working with MB until the next seminar/retreat? Any insight would be appriciated.
JK
[This message has been edited by JK (edited May 13, 2001).]

Hi JK,
I am familiar with Divorce Busting, and the ideas behind SBT, and I like them alot. However, I ended up deciding that Marriage Builders had a lot more substance behind it, especially when dealing with infidelity. I don't think that the 2 plans are incompatible...and I remember Divorce Busting to have a lot of really good ideas. Perhaps you might want to pick up a copy of His Needs/Her Needs and Surviving an Affair.
Read all you can on this site about Plan A. You will see that you can do Michelle's stuff AND Plan A!!
I wish you luck!

------------------
Pain is a given, misery is optional.

DB has in its philosphy that DIRECTLY educating your spouse is a huge LB, and I will attest to that, especially in affair situations. you should read the books, for yourself, and leave them around for your spouse to find, and let them decide to educate themselves with the same material.
that works because when the person is ready to confront themselves, the information is available and ready to be received.
good luck
