Just a couple of parenting questions.
Why is it that kids will have a 3'x3' piece of cardboard on the coffee table and not use it while drawing a picture with a scripto perm. black maker? (Bummer)
Why is the kids will that that same marker later in the day and draw a picture on the wall, and when caught in the act say "I don't know"? Now I know she was completely daydreaming and not paying attention.
Why is it that kids want a wading pool and when the whole neighborhood finds out every single kids her age comes over. Then she doesn't want to swim anymore?
Why is it that when they want to get mommy a candle for Mothers day and there is a whole long rack of various candle of all shapes and sizes, they pick the absolute smallest and the smallest candle is the most expensive?
Why is it that hot dogs aren't good enough for lunch anymore? Now its got to be a Digorno's pizza that you have to make/bake yourself?
Why is it when these things happen beer seems to taste so much better? While I'm in the garage?
Just wondering.. ;-)
Tex.

Man 'O Man.
OOTH: Nope not really a bad weekend. I've just learned to say "This is a bad idea, So sure, When iut beaks just clean up your mess and put the junk in the trash." . I think the moms of the kids in the wading pool got abit upset with me drinking a beer while the line of kids I didn't even know existed, created a line out the back gate. I just said " Sure they are back here. Have'em back in an hour or so.."
My D kept coming out to say they needed more water in the pool. The problem was the more kids in the pool the more water came out of the pool. Something that started 1-2' high, when the kids got out was about 4 inches high. Go figure!!
OMO: Teen years. I think I heard something about a deterent to boys coming over that kills? ME!!.
Tex.

HaHa
[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
Sounds like the kids were having a blast.
We had to pull out the little pool too. Then Little-bit decided that Mom needed to get wet too! And she wanted me to turn on the 'warm' water. And it wasn't filling up fast enough. And she wanted me to get in with her. And ---- you get the picture.
By the time it was full she was chilly and ready to get out. I ended up watering the garden with the pool water. You must have had a muddy mess around the pool. I know I always did when I was a kid and had friends over.
Maybe you should get one of those slip-n-slides.
~Amy
