I have been trying to minimize contact with my STBX. It is pretty easy because of phone problems he can't call me, so I just have to keep him blocked online and not call him.<P>But he called (collect) last night so I called him back. My atty was supposed to deliver the divorce papers last week or the week before or the week before.... etc. And the support collection office is difficult to get ahold of and he is over 10 weeks behind in support.... He has only paid for two weeks of child care this school year and he owes tuition for school..... ETC ETC<P>So here is his latest 'compromise'. He wants me to pay him support for the two weeks he gets the kids this summer.... otherwise he will leave them with me. When I said that I didn't care but the kids would be disappointed. He said, "I don't care if the kids are disappointed." <P> I am sad. I just hung up on him. And he left me a collect message ..... hahahhaha.... did you know you could do that? I didn't! Toooooooo funny! I did not even listen to it!<P>Well, I just wanted to get that off my chest. Thanks for letting me come here and be my rotten self, so that I can save my best self for my kids.

How truly awful that he is using the children to extort money out of you!!<P>I don't know the exact laws, but I don't think you can negotiate CS away like that - he'll still owe it regardless of what you agree with him privately or not.<P>I'm sorry he's doing this to you! <P>--BR<P>------------------<BR><I>Pain is a given, misery is optional.</I>
