I got a call last night from my stepmom. My dad has been in the hospital again and will be coming home today - with a hospice care nurse. He is terminally ill. He has both lung and prostate cancer. I need all your prayers. I am still trying to recover from my divorce and I recently confronted my dad about his extramarital affair that caused the end of his marriage to my mom (he married the OW). I feel enormous guilt at having done this. I am also still talking about my ex and the divorce too much and need help in figuring out a way to stop this.<P>Are there any medications out there that are a good antidepressant and also good for obsessive compulsiveness?<BR>I think God may have handed me more than I can handle right now. <P>My 11 yo D also had a meltdown last night. She misses her friends (we recently relocated to another state) and I think she is having a hard time making the transisition between visiting her dad and his OW-new wife and then coming home to me (her dad lives out-of-state away from us).<P>I need support and help.<P>Pat

Hi Pat,<P>I remember you, and have missed you... back in the olden days, I was new_beginning (actually until about a month ago)...<P>I am sorry for your pain, and ask God to lift the burden from you and heal your father, or at least aliviate his pain... and to heal you and your daughter... the stress of all of this is REAL... and it can cause real live physical problems too.<P>I took Zoloft, and the insert says it's for OCD tendancies, as well as depression, and/or anxiety... ask your doc. Barrington,<P>I don't think you should feel the least bit guilty about confronting your father about his infidelity. Maybe there would be less infidelity if fewer people didn't just look the other way.
