I have a problem communicating my feeling to my significant other. I mean we talk and talk about everything. But at times when I say something she gets the wrong idea and reacts to what she thinks I meant.
I know I could communicate real well but it is just those times that get me confused when we argue for the wrong reasons. I do not mind arguements but not about nonsensical things.
I feel maybe I should work on myself before I go and speak with her about it. Maybe I am the problem.
I love her dearly and do not want to lose her for anything.
Thanks for reading.

Hi99!
I will tell you what I learned (high price paid -- we are still separated, now for 2 years, after 12 years of being together).
Very ofthen, when he says something to me and I am about to get upset -- I let myself "hear" the same words, said by myself, with my voice -- addressed to him. And you know, it appears that if I had said this, the meaning would be nearly the opposite! nothing to get upset about.
And vice versa -- when I am about ot say something I feel may be understood differently, I imagine what would I feel should I hear him say these words to me. And often it is AWFUL! So, I refrain.
You can try both approaches -- and if it works for you, tell your partner how you do it. Maybe, she would like to try it, too.
