Yes it is for codependants anonymous. It has been wxtremely beneficial to see how my behavior patters effect others. Aslo how I perceive ther's behaviors.
I have talked about it before in the GQ section. Between aug '00 and feb '01. If you cannot find it, I will write about it again.
It is a twelve step process and group that is adapted from AA.
Beth

It also means (very short and not quite right) interesting conclusion; like the last notes of a song. Look it up. Neat acronym.

Coda...it is a musical term for the end of a song. You see it in the sheet music...it's Italian, I think. You'll see a repeated set of measures, and then it says something like 'D.C. al Coda', which means, repeat until the end.
I find it interesting as well.
P.S. That is also the name of Led Zeppelin's last album.
[This message has been edited by waiting_for_her (edited June 21, 2001).]

You are right! I had forgotten that. I wondered why I would think of it sometimes during choir practice!
Very clever!
It is actually CoDA. I am just lazy with the Caps.
[This message has been edited by burnedspouse (edited June 21, 2001).]

CoDA is a 12 step fellowship program that gets people together who are codependent so they can share and learn more poitive ways to have healthy and loving relationships.
Good feelings and self esteem are gained by others(mates, children, friends.)
Mental attention is not on you but others. Focused on solving other people's problems even if not intvited to do so.
You do things the way others want to do them other then doing things for yourself your own way.
You volunteer to do things for others even if it is not what you want to do. This is often done to "make" people like you.
There is so much more.
Buy the books "Codependent No more." and ""The road less Traveled." Any library or book store should have those. It is a good start.
Beth
