You know, I know that some people disagree with my idea here, but guess what I say? STOP THE WORLD AND GET OFF!
Your resignation from adulthood is hereby accepted. Go play in the sandbox and get sand in your sox. Eat a popsicle in the summer sun. Play softball. Play "fort" in the woods. Put down your adult cares and worries for a few hours and have some playtime and fun.
Maybe even have one little temper tantrum. You are screaming inside, "IT'S NOT FAIR!!" Well, let that out a little. I'm not saying that you should literally kick and scream, but maybe you could write it out, or scream while you drive down the freeway with your radio turned up.
Now, you are not allowed to be an adult until you have had a little playtime, so "go play." When you have come back from your playtime, we will discuss all that other stuff you wrote. I'm serious. Go have some fun. Go. (Go!)
CJ
------------------
Judge your success by what you had to give up in order to get it.

Wouldn't it be so nice just to be able to go somewhere where you suddenly have no memories. You are free to have fun and laugh and be carefree at least for a time......ahhhh.
(((((((((((((CLG)))))))))))))))))
Take Care.

Give the therapist about three sessions to get a handle on things. If about halfway through the third session you don't feel that she's helping any --- speak up about it.
You could be mismatched. (Or they could be just plain lousy.)
You could also not so much 'tell' the therapist stuff, but kind of throw out things and pull them into the conversation, get their opinions on things ...... "I'm not sure what to make of so-and-so....They do X....and then they do Y" --- Try to get the therapist involved. [Hey -- you can mess with their heads too!]
Talk about yourself! What are YOU doing? How are YOU handling things? What are YOU doing for yourself? Tell them about all these thoughts that you are having --- that they are conspiring behind your back, that the OW is out to get you, that the OW is manipulating your H, etc. That's the kind of stuff that the therapist needs to hear about.
Has medication been discussed? If it's just a therapist, they may not be able to prescribe meds. You may need to go see someone else about it. Meds. can help you to get the obsession about their relationship under control so that you can get on with living a more normal life, without the intrusive thoughts.
[I sound like a med. freak. Honestly, I didn't like the idea of meds. I think that's one of the reasons I resisted getting help for so long. But now I personally know that it can make a difference.]

Hooray! for the Interview!
I hope it goes well. I really think that you getting out of that office will do you a world of good. At least they won't be dangling the relationship under your nose. And the temptation to read more in to incidents (founded or unfounded) won't be there.
Good Luck!
~Amy
