I too have been lurking around in the background, but now I want to join in too on the pity party!! I like the idea of a dark corner somewhere with just a little glass of wine to really let the tears break loose. I'm not a usually a drinker, but after this week I think I deserve a little indulgence. Please forgive my weakness!! I also like the loneliness hike Faithful Wife. Too many choices! Too many good ideas! I can't choose which group I really need. Maybe all of them!
TB

Well, I just walked in the side door carrying my latest rendition of *pity* food... I'm the savory type myself so this time it's....
Herb and garlic cream cheese and
Original flavored bagel chips and/or
peppered water crackers
Oh, as for the beverage? I'm still liking "Sour" the generic version of Squirt.
Oh, and if it's really bad, I lean towards the Ultra SlimFast peanut butter candy bar... OMgoodness, you wouldn't believe how satisfying that is! It's unbelievable really.
And for activities? The mud... well, that would interesting, especially if you set up a volleyball net in the mud pit! Hi Gang,
Lost the corkscrew, been forced to survive on food and water for several days. Then some scoundrel stole the cork out of my lunch! May I join your pity party?
Are we having a theme? You know, something like "Self pity is better than no pity at all!"
Bye the way, is this a black tie or white tie event?
Prayers and stuff,
Bumper

Well, it seems that my pity party raged through the night.
After the tear-jerker showings of "Old Yellar" and "The Story of Us", I was a basket case, with my teddy bear and my blankie and a gallon of mint chocolate chip ice cream, but as I woke from my pity-induced stuper, I find that several partiers are still here. Let's keep the pity flowing!
Now, we that we have been wallowing in self-pity for a whole day, I think we need a small break. The effigy bonfire is dying down--the mud pity is drying up a little--and the melon cauliflower salad seems almost gone (hey, who ate all that?). Anyway, how about a nice game of lawn darts with certain select photos as targets? I just don't have the strength to continue my walk with loneliness hike today, so I shall sit and contemplate the spiritual advantages of suffering instead. Now, coffee, tea or herbal tea for everyone, and let's have a quick moment of meditation to start our SECOND day of pity partying off right. My mantra today: Do what is in CJ's best interest. Do what is in CJ's best interest. One of these days, I'll believe it!
CJ
P.S. My personal chosen soul food for the day is homemade chocolate chip cookies. I could eat them by the dozen--luckily I shall only grab a handful and eat three or four. TOTALLY pity food!
------------------
Judge your success by what you had to give up in order to get it.

Does this party extend for a third day?
I'd love to bring my new roomate to the party! What did she say?!?!?
Brought home a new puppy Thursday and she REALLY misses her brothers and sisters! She also remains nameless today, poor girl. To top it off my cats are REALLY pi@#ed off at me.
Oh yah, Thursday was the night I retrieved my court ordered belongings from the x, escorted by a Deputy Sherriff. I had to file contempt charges to make it happen. I'd been waiting since 4/1998.
Ugh, I'll bring dog biskets and tuna!
Ragamuffin

How about 4 long haired dogs full of stickers and fleas, 3 cats, 7 horses, and 5 chickens at last count (found one half eaten 2 days ago).

well, missed most of the pity party, cause I was stuck on top of a hillside trying to get an obnoxious piece of 4 inch pipe to hold together so 13 houses could have some water.
Chocolate is always an important item to have at a pity party, prefer funny movies to sad ones, though. Laughter cheers the soul.
I hope you've had the time to come up out of the mud and find out how nice the grass feels on your toes! [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
Lori

Well, this is the second day back at work after my totally awesome vacation. I feel a big wave of pity needing to be indulged, myself. But all I want to do about it is sit around and sigh - or go back to bed.
Where do the sighers go? Can we have a lot of chocolate? cookies? peanut butter M&Ms? ice cream with homemade hot fudge sauce? brownies?

I've been avoiding this party but I think that it is time that I joined. My "D" will be final tomorrow [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
Let's add hot carmel sundae's and a plate of fresh fruits. Think about it, can you be in a bad mood eating watermelon and spitting the seeds on a picture of the x.
------------------
Love, Bill
-There are none so blind as those who refuse to see!-
-Stand up and do the right thing, even if your standing alone.-

Baskin-Robbins Chocolate Mousse Royale with hot Fudge sauce is guaranteed to fix our chocolate cravings.
Caramel suace, hot, could be helpful.
But I think we could use the chiropractor before we return to Happyville. All this slouching would be bad for our spines.
