I am very fortunate to have a very happy marriage. I think that both my wife and I are very happy. I always felt it important to make her happy especially in bed. However my problem is the longest it takes before I climax is a half a minute and therefore my wife doesn't have the stimulation that she needs to climax. The only solution that I could think of is to go for doubles however at that point my wife isn't interested anymore. What can I do to help me prolong that climax or possibly prepare my wife so that she is almost there when we actually have intercourse. Also if you knows a good book on the subject please let me know.
Thank You

Anonymous17:
I'm not sure about "technique" books to help you with that problem: men can usually focus on something else---say solving calculus problems---to help with this issue.
You should make a visit to see your doctor, and discuss this problem with him. There are several medications that will delay onset of ejaculation (some of the antidepressants), and that might be another way to go.

we've got problems we may want to swap, for a while. i've got the opposite problem. i cann't finish. when i'm reminded that it's about time to go to work or to church or to sleep, that's it. at that point i just have to quit. i probably wouldn't have been able to finish anyway but when i hear that or sense she is worn out i just have to give up. i've spent a life time working on being a good performer and have become only that. now i can't finish. to make matters worse, i take an antidepressant and they make it even more difficult. i can keep an erection forever but i can hardly finish even when i masturbate. i've managed to fake it a few times so that my w feels ok but she knows i have difficulty with it. she's afraid it's her but i've have the same problem with other women too, regardless of how good it is or how beautiful they are. so, be careful what you wish for. at least you're enjoying yourself!

Anon.
I've seen this subject discussed in various books, but I'm not enough of an expert (hah-hah) to tell you which book is best. One that's been recommended in this forum is by Ed Wheat: "Intended for Pleasure".
Of course, there's non-prescription desensitizing products at the drug store, usually next to the condoms and lubricants.
And, like K said, thinking about non-sexual things can help slow things down also.
