I made contact with a friend that I had not seen in about 3 years yesterday. Found out that she is going through something similar. It was good to talk to her. Our schedules make it difficult to talk to often but it seems that she also needed somebody to talk to about what she is going through. Some of the centers that I called about divorce support groups seem to not be having any new sessions until late next year. I thought that it was kind of strange. I finally registered for a class for this fall semester. I just hope that my schedule does not interfere with it. Maybe I can meet some new people and try and get out more often. Did not think that it would be this hard to get out and do something. Still feeling a little down this week but not as bad as the first few weeks. Not waking up as tired as I was in the past. Maybe it is a sign that my body and subconcious is starting to accept what is going on in my life. Everyone on this board has been such a big help with all the advice and everything. I just want to thank you all again for the help you have provided.

Hey Orlando...nice post. Very encouraging.
What classes are you taking? I find that crafts, and hobbies work wonders. Making something...with patience, and diligence...is very therapeutic.
What do you want from your life at this point? -Mike

Know matter how bad it seems it does get better, and in time you will figure out what you want and don't want. Give everything a try and push yourself each day to do something just for you. I started to redecorate the house LOL. now my friends say I am a regular Marth steward. I have had fun and realize that I have talent and am capable of taking care of myself. I am starting to get out more and enjoy being out, I am learning how to make new friends and get on with life, it is a challenge for me sometimes but I am doing it and it is great. taking the classes are wonderful keep up the good work and take care of yourself
tom

Hi OAS,
It really does get better, I promise! For me, one day recently I just "woke up" and decided to rejoin life. A dramatic turn-around. I don't think that is always the case but it can happen. Like you, I made this decision to solidify my friendships. Yesterday I bought tickets to see the Moody Blues in August and took a long walk on the beach. It turned out to be a perfect day. I guess I realized I have the rest of my life ahead of me. So do you!!!
hopefulheart
