I got into work this morning and the buddy of mine that I talked to last week come up and about knocked me over.
He started shaking my hand, patting me on the back, and said thanks about a million times.
If you remember he was the young man that married an old woman, and he was complaining about how his wife would do this and he would respond by doing something more negative, and him saying things about validation.
Well last night He took the deep breath, and calmly validated her needs. He said it was a ten-minute conversation and about 2 hours of love play afterwards.
He said it was never like this before, and thank you, thank you, and thank you.
I said, "It didn't cost you a dime did it?” Nope, I learned a very valuable lesson. Thanks very much.
At which point I said "I take my coffee black", he said cool, grabbed my cup and off to the coffee machine he went. HeHeHe.. I'm glad I could help him.
I noticed that I'm learning to by being able to help.
Y’all have a nice day. Mine started out good.
Tex.
Oh, and a very, very cute, little bitty Vietnamese girl brought me in a new set of Hematite power beads yesterday morning. Way cool, and that look real good on my left wrist.

AGMIT...you are really growing into a role that is sorely needed in our society today...a male mentor. Most excellent indeed! That is the 'goes around' part...looks like you are getting some of it back, too! All in all, you are nailing it, and it makes me feel good! Thanks! -Mike
P.S. I've got a cup here with your name on it, and coffee is always hot, fresh, and available!

AGMIT,
I read your other post! Way to go! The world needs more people like you!
"he was the young man that married an old woman" WHAT?!?! [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com] Just had to give you a hard time, my son is also 27!
By the way, I'm going to go watch a band from "your state" tonight. Does "Lonestar" sound familiar? I can't wait to hear and see them in person!
Again, good job!

[This message has been edited by Ragamuffin (edited July 24, 2001).]

Hey AGM,
well done.
I suspect that young man will never forget what you said. I also suspect he's going to have a fantastic marriage. What a lucky couple they are. To have found this out so early in their marriage.
Well done (again) and have a fantastic day
hugs
Jo
