I found this site and the books written by Emily Brown unique in that she is the only one who describes a split self affair which can resemble an exit affair but is different in origin psychologically. If you'd like to check it out go to- www.affairs-help.com. Click on the types of affairs part. There are also message boards here to post on. Those who's spouses were/are in an EA/PA would especially be interested. lifeimessy

Life/mess
I have never heard of the split self theory before. I am interested in it, but the web site did not have all that information, just definitions. More like an ad. What else do you know about it? It strikes a chord.
Beth

Thanks, I read that and thank you for the link... it's very interesting that someone studied the *types* of affairs, isn't it? That would be fascinating... she also gives counseling to organizations dealing with affairs in the office! What a thing to list on your benefits menu!
Cheers!
Nicole

------------------
"You will deceive yourself into believing that if people, circumstances, and events had been different, your pain would not exist...Your pain is the concrete way in which you participate in the pain of humanity."
~ Henri Nouwen ~
