It had to happen someday. My daughter (5 y.o.) brought a picture she drew of the "family" today. I noticed that it was a house with a rainbow over it. On top of the rainbow I noticed that there were only two people (male and female). Yuck. Me and my daughter? Me and my XW?
I stay well clear of asking my daughter about her mother and the OM, but I just had to know who the two people were.
My daughter said that it was me and her above the rainbow. Woohoo!!! She further stated that that's mom at her house in the bed. (depression?) There was a bed drawing and what looked like a head. (no mention of OM)
So, I guess I'm doing pretty well. I also surmize that the grass must not be so green where my XW lives. She chose it. Too bad, so sad, bye bye...
Kevin

You are a lucky man. Thanks for the pick-me-up.

Hi Kevin,
Nice story!
Sounds like you're handling things about as well as can be expected. I hope that things continue to go well for you.
I've thought about writing, but have been busy and just haven't been very good about emailing lately.
Take care,
Steve

Do you think they ever admitt that the grass isn't greener? I have heard that my EW is realizing her mistakes,( good for her) but as you say this is what she wanted. Anyway I still wait for the day that she will admit she made a mistake and at least say I am sorry for all the pain I caused everyone. Do you think they know how many people they hurt including therselves?

It's been several years and my x has yet to acknowledge that he hurt anyone. And he's still trying to manipulate me. I'm really not sure why some people get to breathe. But that's not my decision to make.
When my son tells me that I am the best mother in the whole universe, none of that other stuff matters.
