Hey, everybody! Happy Labor Day weekend. I don't know if anyone is going to read this until Tuesday morning when we all go back to work (haha), but I wanted to give you'all some good news for a change.
I am thrilled to say that we had a GREAT day together--and I'm not sure but I think we hit all ten emotional needs on one day!

Anyway, we slept in late (which is a RARE treat--just the second time this summer), and when we woke up we went for an invigorating morning swim. It was great, because the water was warm and it really got the blood flowing! Then, I guess the warm water, skimpy suits, and flowing blood just got to us

After we got dressed, we went to the bank, got bagels for a late "brunch", and got my tire patched (it had a small leak). At home, we had bagels with the kids, then we took off for a day of fun.
First we went to Brighton to look at a site for a business that my H is working with. Yes it was "work" but the whole family came along, and we held hands in the car all the way, and he asked if I would come because he wanted my opinion and wanted to be with me! YAY!! We had lunch in Brighton, and I was a very good girl (so pat me on the back). Then we took off to go SHOPPING!!
We went to a local outlet mall with the purpose of buying the kids their school clothes, but we all ended up getting something. I was first, and I asked my H to please tell me what he liked and didn't like, and for the first time that I can remember...HE DID IT!! I was so proud of him and so happy, because he told me his real opinion and I know that wasn't easy for him. I'm thrilled though, because now I know that he thinks I look nice in what I bought (plus, I went down TWO SIZES!! YAY, again!). Next, it was his turn: he got four new pairs of khaki's and he also went down in his waist about four inches. Hey, I mean to tell ya--it makes a WORLD of difference to see him in pants that fit him right. WOW!! He also got some nice polo shirts and all, but nothing compares to those "tight fittin'" pants!!!
The two kids were next, and they were a little harder to buy for...especially my 14yo son, because he's very particular. My daughter found two jeans and about five new tops, and one is purple and pink and says "Princess" on it--and boy, is that ever her! My son looked, and looked, and looked, and FINALLY found some jeans that were "okay but not perfect" at Levi's. Sure enough, the very next store we went to had EXACTLY what he had been looking for...but I got him a thin, black leather jacket instead.
My H got some 501's (button flies) at the Levi's store too, and they fit like a glove!!! OMG!!

He's getting so handsome it reminds me of when we first met--and the best part is, when we met, he used to wear 501's ALL THE TIME. I hope we will get to relive some "501" memories!!

So, after all that shopping we were all tired, so we went out to a mexican restaurant. We even got dessert, which is also a special treat. When we got home, we had a fashion show with all our new clothes, and it was just so fun. I can't remember the last time we had a nice, pleasant, fun, loving, family day like this, and it was SO NICE!!!
Anyway, since I always come on here and tell you'all my troubles, I thought it would be nice to also tell you when I have a good day.
CJ
------------------
Judge your success by what you had to give up in order to get it.
