I posted this on the "sub-conscious is playing stupid games" thread. I'd really like some input if anyone has the time!
Dream #1: My h is lying in the middle of the road with no clothes on. He is laughing and trying to pull me down on the road, too. He is REALLY happy! I'm laughing too, but I am saying "Go get up! Someone will see you!" He just keeps rolling around, joking and making fun. So I pretend I see some police "Look, there's the police!!!" He stops his rolling around, looks up the road for a second with a very woried expression, sees I'm joking and then keeps fooling around. Dare I say this...I notice his penis is teeny, not like a kid's just really small! By small, not even an inch. I woke up. But got back to sleep again.
#2: In this dream my best girlfriend is going to renew her marriage vows, and I'm at her place really upset, because I'm supposed to be one of her bridesmaids and I just can't do it. I tell her I have to go find H. She is okay with this, and just gets another friend to do it.
So I go off in search of h and I'm looking at what seems to be a school fair, everyone around me having fun. Stalls, balloons etc. I aske people if they have seen him, no-one has.
Finally I see a small building with two stories; the building is white but has big glass windows. I am about to go in when I think I see h in the crowd, but then I lose sight of him. So I go in.
My h is in there talking to a school girl, about 10 yrs old, and I stand waiting. I can't see his face, because it's turned towards her. When he looks at me I notice one eyebrow is shaved and I think "Oh so that's where he was last night, out with the boys and they shaved it as a prank. But then I look closer and I get a huge shock, because most of his face is flattened, straight and smooth, no features except for one eye. I say "What happened to you?" all shook up and I go to him and put my arm around him. I put my face real close and I can hear him mumble "I don't know!" mumbling because he has no mouth...This was so scary I woke up in a cold sweat and I didn't get back to sleep.
So it was an active night in my house.
Any takers?
thread. No response yet. but I thought these were interesting dreams, so I'd like some input if anyone has the time!

[QUOTE]Originally posted by Nina too:
[B]I posted this on the "sub-conscious is playing stupid games" thread. Your H. has been totally exposed. He doesn't seem to care what he has done it is all like a game to him. At first you think it is funny and he will snap out of this stupidity, then you begin to realize he is not joking around, so you try to scare him back to reality, he doesn't seem to take you serious and continues on with his fun. You realize what he is doing and it is pulling you down. The penis thing is a sign of his manhood and he is not being much of a man right now.
In the 2nd dream You can not beare the thought that he broke the marriage vows, he didn't go through with what he had vowed to do and he looked for someone else to fill his need. You go off looking for him again this is all fun and games for him, yet no one saw him and he wasn't reconizable, I see this as you no longer seem to know this person, he is not the person you married. You almost don;t know this man anymore and you keep hoping the man you knew will show up again.
Wow jabber,
That was really good, regarding the first dream...I had no idea what it might mean, but that certainly makes sense! I think he is a bit worried what I'm going to tell the family when I get back, though. He can't even speak to his parents now.
The second dream is along the lines I was thinking.
Wonder if anyone else would care to take an analytical stab?

Okay, here's my opinion:
Dream #1: your H is behaving shamelessly in public and tries to get you to lower your own sense of propriety and dignity. The police (imaginary) who you try to scare him with represent authority, society, and possible arrest/incarceration, and the subsequent shame of publicity and a trial for indecent exposure. His behavior (and penis size) are infantile. You, as a mature adult, are appalled at his actions, while he, (knowing that he is doing wrong; ie his short-lived fear while he looks to see if your warning is a joke) tries to get you down to his level.
Your friend is renewing her marriage vows. Maybe she symbolizes you and your wishes to restore your marriage. But your first obligation (your own marriage) surfaces, and you realize that your husband is "absent" (just like real life.) Bridesmaids "stand up" as witnesses when a couple weds. The bride and groom make public vows, with witnesses. The best man and maid of honor and to a lesser extent the ushers and bridesmaids' roles are to hold the couple to the vows they made. Amnesia rolls in when the hard times come. Sickness, poverty, temptation of sexier partners. You choose trusted people to stand up for you, and give you a poke when you're tempted to let your marriage go.
You're not sure you can stand up to renew your own vows without your husband close to you. Makes sense.

Finally, you're at a school fair. Again, a juvenile theme. When you finally catch up to your husband, he's talking to a 10 year old girl. Could it be that emotionally and morally he is 10 years old, or that you see him that way? His features are blurred, absent, I don't exactly remember what you wrote. He appears unformed or erased, not a mature man. His words aren't clear. His mouth is gone. His lies have stopped up his mouth, covered it up, grown it over, because he has mis-used it. But he doesn't understand yet why you don't trust him, why you can't clearly hear what he says.
The lack of features: My guess: As we age, character lines define our features. Smile lines, worry lines appear. Our dispositions and our inner selves gradually write themselves on our faces. We become weathered, interesting looking. Like the lines on our palms, the lines on our faces tell our life stories.
Remember "The Picture of Dorian Gray" - a painting of him in the attic aged and showed all the signs of dissipation and indulgence and ugliness while his own face remained ageless? Think of Mother Theresa - old, wrinkled face, full of love. Golda Meier, strong and wise. Albert Einstein, kind and gentle. Abraham Lincoln, Benjamin Franklin, etc.
Sorry, I've rambled again.

------------------
Belle, Domestic Goddess
[This message has been edited by Bellevue (edited September 07, 2001).]
