I went out Sat. night with friends and ran into my husband. This is the first time he's seen me out since he left seven months ago. When he left I was three months pregnant. The baby is now six weeks old and I must say I look awesome! I am ten pounds lighter than when I got pregnant and have a great tan courtesy of many days at the beach with the kids this summer. Anyway, as luck would have it when I saw him a group of guys was walking my friends and I. We weren't together but my husband didn't know it.
He called right away Sunday morning from work and asked if I had fun. I asked him if he did and he said that he had just stopped down for a couple after work and was on his way home when he saw us. This was a lie. Although he had left we saw hime pull back up when we were leaving (he didn't see us)and his truck was still there an hour later when my friend drove through down after dropping me off and discussing his reaction to seeing us etc. Anyway during the call he wanted to know who the guys were and I was very vague. I wanted him to feel nervous. It was way too safe for him while I was pregnant. The conversation went well and he seemed a bit jealous.
That night after work he stopped by unannounced to say, "Hi" to the kids and I. He hasn't done this in months. Something seemed to be on his mind but I didn't want to push. He left quickly stating that he needed to get some sleep as he was going back into work for the 11 pm to 7 am shift. At 11:15 there was knocking on the door and there he was. He seemed upset and said he didn't want to talk but he missed the kids and wanted to spend the night at home. I let him in. He came in got undressed and hopped right into bed. He asked if I'd give him a backrub. I did mainly to see if he open up. He talked a little and started to make advances. I asked him if he expected me to be the other woman now (he officially let me know he was in love with the OW, wanted a divorce, and was taking his relationship with her public when our baby was only a week old) he asked why I would say that. I told him I couldn't play his games anymore. Nothing happened although part of me wanted to just to spite her. I know that we would have done anything I wanted that night.
I guess I'm wondering what's up with him. If he cares so much for her why was he back at our home in my bed? Do you think seeing me with other men triggered something? He has played on my emotions before and I don't know what to think. He tried to fool around in the morning when I went to wake him but luckily the kids were getting up. He then got up and brought them to school and didn't come back. He called again from work Monday night just to check in which he hasn't been doing. Tonight he picked them up and I asked if he was doing better than the other night. He said it was his problem and he'd handle it. I told him I was a good listener if he needed someone and he said he'd think about it. What should I do? He says I'm too pushy so I'm really trying not to. He brings the kids back at 8:00 tonight so I need help quick.
Ideas?
K

still Let me recap your post. Your husband left you while you were preg. and is now showing interest because he saw you out "lookin good". This is one "immature puppy" you got there but it sounds like you want him anyway.
I think you ansewered your own question. He is now interested because he saw you out thinking you were with other guys. He is easy to figure out, the more you act uninterested the more he will want you. We all want what we can't have so the word from here is play hard to get. Have places to go, people to see and things to do. Make sure he takes the kids so you can do the things you "need" to do. All of this must< of course> be done gently so he is convienced.
I see that you are new to MB. Have you posted on General Guestions II? There are people there who are really great at coaching. Have you read the material on MB? Please read, read, read, it will make you stronger.
Good luck and don't let this "cake eater" use you to pump his ego.
------------------
Marry
