I'm recently divorced. This was not a divorce that I wanted and in fact worked hard to resolve and to prevent. In fact, I still love my ex-wife very dearly and with all the fiber of my being and she has expressed the same sentiment.
My question is-is there a way or are there steps that I can take to rebuild this relationship?
I have been attempting to do this, but I feel that the finger is always pointed at me with no acknowledgement of any positive contributions I made to the marriage, and no acknowledgement of her contribution to the demise of the marriage. I feel as if I am hitting an implacable wall. Should I just accept the reality of this situation and get on with life or is there anything that can be done to change this situation.
I would suggest taking a long hard look at your relationship and your part and only your part in it. then when you talk with her listen to her with out assigning any blame and taking responsibility for your part only, let her have her say and be free from critism or judgement, It take 2 to create a conflict and if you only listen with out taking the defensive then there is no conflict. Second read everything on this site about Plan A and plan A your butt off with her, go back to all the good things that brought the two of you together and rekindle that love. Good Luck and take care of yourself

This is excellent advice. I wish I knew where the links were for the information for new people (newbies). You might look around the infidelity board. I'll try to do that for you and get back to you.
But read, read, read. and try Plan A.

Me and my Husand divorced in 1995 and remarried in 1997 and I am here at MB. So be smart and learn here. Take it slow but Go-for-it. Good luck.
