Saw your question on another thread so iIthought I'd respond. The whole thing went sour. I did the Plan A'ing and read like crazy but came to the conclusion that I could not make it work alone. Come to find out she was having an EA which surpirsed no one but me. Anyhow, she was unwilling to do anything so. . .I just got the final papers yesterday. Funny, getting them didn't sting as much as I thought. The truth is that we have been divorced (emotionally--or at least she has) since she gave me the old "I love you but I am not in love with you" line back on April 1, 2000 --April Fools Day.
So I sort of dropped out and tried to get my life in order. It really took a full year to feel like I was standing again. I only now feel like I am moving forward a little. I have begun going back to church and have bought a house in the old neighborhood.
Anyhow, I just decided to take a look at MB and see if any old names popped up. I was particularly interrested in a guy who went by the name of hurting badly--our stories were similar but it looked like his was going to have a happy ending and I wanted to check up.
Feels weird to be back here and it digs up some old emotions that aren't so good. When I was active on MB it was the only time in my life that I felt completely hopeless.
Enough of that, thanks for asking and I will see you around--I really am doing well. Anyone who goes through all of this and ends up divorcing needs to know that life really does go on--it just takes a while.
Lou

Hey Lou,
Thanks for the response/update. You have done a good job healing and moving on, and I'm very happy for you [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]. I remember those days from summer 2000, when we all posted on EN, trying to Plan A and to save our marriages... I think tessa managed to save hers (even though she found out her hubby was having a PA). Hurting Badly wasn't so lucky. His W was having a PA the whole time, and they've been separated since March. Haven't heard from Maggie38 though...
You are absolutely right; you can't save a marriage alone. At some point the WS needs to jump into the act, which our spouses never did. Oh well, their loss... [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
Take care,
AGG
Shoot me an e-mail at agoodguy_mb@hotmail.com if you wanna catch up on stuff.
