First one is that one of my cats walked off Wednesday. So, would you please pray that Candy comes home. I miss her. My children miss her and her cat "sister" misses her.<P>Secondly, my job search isn't going well. I have 11 years of Human Resources experience which is nullified by 11 years of Mother experience. And I'm having trouble even finding an entry level Human Resources position.<P>I realize these are off the topic but they are very important to my life. And I will take all the help I can get. This all happened 4 weeks after my husband moved out. YIKES! Not to steal your thread but I will pray for you if you can pray for me. I was just about to give up on her. I was so worried, especially when it was wet or cold out.. But you know what??? This isn't the first time she ran off. She will do that at least two or three times a year. Callie (cat) has a very good home here. Nice clean bed, plenty of food and fresh water.. Cats just like to leave every now and then. My sisters cat did the same thing a couple of months age. So please try not to worry. Cats do that some times. My other cat will do the same thing, but not as often. I sure can understand your worry. I have been there. I also learned while watching the discovery channel that cats like to travel and is isn't likely they get lost. I'm sure your cat will come home when it is ready. The lost cat is the one that doesn't have the imbedded microchip between her shoulderblades. The AVID chip is supposedly checked for at both of our local animal facilities. I've checked the pound, the shelter, the vets in my area. Put up fliers, and registered her on NashvillePetFinders.com.<P>I've decided that, from now on, the resume goes out for initial inquiries and feelers without dates of employment on it. They can find out the truth when they get me in for an interview.<P>No news on either front

Well, if something doesn't happen soon, I think I'll be back to wishing I could crawl in a hole and pull it in around me. I know it's not an option because of me children and my other cat. <P>But something happened this morning that just really cut to the core of my ENFP heart. Well, I've sorted it out - my reaction was mostly hormones. Phooey! I didn't think so but I guess I was wrong.<p>You know, church people are just ordinary flawed people. And a church office is an ordinary office only all the people who "belong" there feel like it's a good place to complain. And people in personal pain need for you to help them only you don't always have a way to do so. So people are constantly pulling at you.

Well, the air is less toxic in the office right now. I'm past the worst of my part of the ordeal. I will own part of it. Nothing like a perimenopausal woman and a woman in chemically induced menopause getting testy at the same time. <p>But the cat still isn't home. And we all miss her. And the other cat is depressed. I kid you not.<p>And the job search stinks. Still precious little luck. Theoretically, I have an interview tomorrow if I pass the typing test. Great. 11 years of professional HR experience down the drain becaus I've stayed home with babies. And now no one will consider me for an entry-level professional job in that field.

Right now I am feeling a bit better about this maybe interview. Turns out I have friends in management and technical support with this employer - and the interview is actually to return to a job I had 20 years ago. [img]images/icons/shocked.gif" border="0[/img] <p>But I know several people there. And it might be better than it sounded. One of the higher-ups I know thought I had been told some very stupid stuff today and she is going to see what is going on and then let me know where, if anywhere, I am supposed to go tomorrow. Since I worked in this capacity for this employer for 5 years, I have lifetime rehire rights and this would be such a blessing although it is NOT plan A.<p>It would pay the bills and I would have good benefits and could get a bit of experience and then move on. Right now I'm just in big need - financially and emotionally - of another position.<p><Close eyes, breathe calmly and repeat, "It will be ok. It will be ok."><p>The question is, if they match my money needs, how quickly can I say yes and not appear desparate?

Remember how I had an interview a few weeks ago in which I had a totally blonde moment?<p>Well, yesterday's interview was another blonde moment. [img]images/icons/shocked.gif" border="0[/img] But not mine.<p>The manager had big bottle blonde hair and more eyeliner than normally comes in a container. And she was wearing a suede skirt and a fringed suede jacket. And she could not have been more mentally blonde.<p>So, I controlled the interview. It was so weird. I had to ask about the job description, I had to ask about salary, I had to ask about all sorts of stuff. <p>Her contributions were to show me her telephone headset and ask how you go about changing your name. (I used to work with a number of people in the office - in a previous worklife - and she had heard that I had changed my name.)<p>It was so weird.<p>So absolutely weird.<p>We'll see what happens.

Here's the latest. <p>Still not cat. [img]images/icons/frown.gif" border="0[/img] <p>I took needed papers in to prospective employer today. The process is started. Except, now we discuss money. I want more money than they want to pay. <p>So, I'm having to find my voice and tell them what I want and why they should pay it. Scary thing. I've never done this before. I can't make it on what they want to pay. I can on what I want. It will be tight - about like now - but I think I can make it, I think.
