Today I talked to wife I was a little upset after the past week. My truck died on Friday it ate another catalytic converter the third in three years so there went $309. Plus the mechanic said there was another problem the truck just died when he test drove it so some sensor was intermittently going out because it would start back up. Well at $70 dollars a hr. to test all sensors related to spark and fuel that is nuts since it was intermittent. So I called auto zone ask for prices, map, crank angle, throttle position, oxygen sensors, fuel pump relay, and about $200 so i called the shop and said forget it (fuel pump ok at 40 psi). It died on the way home in the middle of nowhere and that upset me I got it to start after ½ hr trying. I bought every sensor I thought would be the problem and it runs great now. The problem is that $500 bucks was for my daughter to visit on thanksgiving and now that is gone. What I told my wife is she left Randi and me out here without backup support and I do not know anyone to call for help here. I told her she has turned her back on me and our daughter that lives with me. That did hit a nerve with her but I did not care that is how I feel. If something happens to me what will happen to my daughter. I have not seem my 15 year old daughter sence june 24 and my wife has not seen our 10 yer old sence the same time. We are 1200 miles away and may see each other twice a year as it looks now. This is how things turned out one wanted me and the other mom and that is how it is now. It pisses me off but I have a house here and and my wife and daughter live at her girl friends house. If I leave to go back what do I get for it nothing, no job, no house, no nothing and if my wife ever wants to come back or daughter I have to have something to offer. What a mess. Maybe Christmas!
we were always there for each other for 20 years. if she had a problem or i did no problem but now both of us and my children are in a place i do not like. both my children are without the support they need let alone both parents.

Wow Ron,
I really feel bad for you. My gut says that you stay where u are. Don't disrupt your 10 yr old life anymore than it already is. Your W made the choice to leave, so don't do what i did and give everything you worked so hard for.
There is no easy answers. No quick fixes. Just alot of soul searching and alot of hard work.
I wish I could offer more.
I just don't have the wisdom today I guess.
Jill

Me again. Do you live in a State where they check emissions? This is about your converter. My mechanic did a no, no and broke it all up inside and ran the exhaust straight through. I haven't had a problem since. I'll have to put one in before I sell it but other than that I'm going to drive it the way it is.
Those converters are just **** anyway.
Jill
