Hi everyone!
My good news is that I have found a good place to lease and I am moving in about ten days!
I am sure that will alleviate a lot of the tension between my mother and I.
It is a good sized house, three bedrooms, rumpus room, two bathrooms, big backyard and double garage. I am so happy about the rumpus room, cos my kids need one of those!!!
Anyway, just thought I'd share.
Kinda sad, though, another step forward also is another step away from H.
Oh well, gotta move ahead! Glad to read things are comming together for you, It sounds like a nice place and you and the kids will be able to start putting your feet down. You never know what will happen with H, they tend to start to think more when they see you moving on, as you get things together for yourself your thinking towards him my change, take care of yourself

Hey Jacky,
Great news on the house, especially that "bonus" room as we say here in the South...
When you first talked about moving home, I was excited for you that you would have some support from your parents, but now I understand better how much more important freedom and SPACE is. Not that support isn't nice but I'm starting to feel crowded by my mom too and we don't even live together. Don't get me wrong, I love her dearly and I know she only wants the best for me but she thinks I need to be entertained. I suppose it would be easy for me to hide at home and not get out and that wouldn't be healthy but I don't have to have something planned every minute, ya know?
Anyway, I'm so proud that you are standing on your own and taking steps in the right direction.
Good Luck! BTW Any news on the piano? Do you have a place picked out for it yet?
Lynn

Hi Jabber and Lynne!
Jabber, I was thinking about that very thing today...not getting my hopes up, REALLY, it is too far gone for that. But in the 11 months since this saga began for me I have NEVER made a stand on my own...I always let him know I was just waiting in the wings....
I suppose he has had it easy. He knows if it doesn't work with OW, he has an alternative....well now I don't know. I am moving on without him. Who knows what he will think? Is a WS in the midst of MLC capable of thinking? Maybe he will wake up one day, but then it will probably be too late.
Lynne,
You and jabber and a lot of others have been with me right from the start of this thing, and I am so glad you called in here to see my little step forward. I am really looking forward to getting out of my mother's house. I love her, but we clash...can't help that. But maybe God set it up for me this way, so it would be easier to move ahead. I just can't wait to make a home for me and my kids!
The piano? I wrote back and asked him to send it with our other stuff at the end of this month....no reply. I will be telling him about the house tomorrow, and PUSHING for that piano, using a few bargaining chips...he wants some furniture....so I will tell him he can actually have more than he asked for, then say SEND ME MY PIANO. LOL!
I can't tell you how I miss that thing!!!
Mum's keyboard is JUST not the same!
Thanks for the encouragement, guys,
Keep happy yourselves!
Love and light,
Jacky

Where I'm from, Middle Tennessee, it can be a den, or a rec room, or a play room, or (if not built with intentional purpose - and usually over garage - a bonus room, but it might possibly be a rumpus room.
Congratulations! You're doing well!
Are the children excited?

Thanks for being glad for me!
The children are very excited, and more so every time they have to be quiet, stay out of the pantry, etc, etc.
Okay, this extra room thing is such a laugh!!!
Here it can be called a rumpus room, a family room, a play room, a sun room, a games room, a rec room, or named according to what you put in it...tv room, music room, etc.
So it's a very versatile room, anyway!!! Jacky,
Hey girl! Well I hope you fill your new pantry up with so much junk food and goodies the kids will feel like they are in "candyland".
Also, don't forget you have to paint the house with mud on the outside to break it in. MUD!!! How silly that your mum and dad got so mad at them for putting mud on the outside of the house. It washes off...duhhhhhh
Well anyway, Jacky, my birthday has fizzled today. I am SICK! Isn't there something in a rule book somewhere that says persons aren't allowed to get sick on their birthday! I should think so. I hve a head cold and a sore throat. DANG!!! Well I plan to celebrate double as soon as I get well, just to make up for it.
C'ya girl,
ANNA

Jacky,
Congratulations on the house - and on moving on.
I confirm that around here (in the South of USA) it is called a "bonus room" - and is usually over the garage. But, we all knew what you were talking about anyway.
-AD

G'day Nina!
Yes same here in NZ, it's called rumpus too. As I am not a NZer sounds a bit funny. But those rooms are certainly excellent. Here they tend to be on the basement and a bit gloomy, but that's a bonus for all those playstation and video sessions.
I read your post about that "regards (H)" I know what you mean, it would have put me off major, talk about business like.
I still believe he's going to come out of the fog, if I remember right OW is 3 times divorced? Your H can't possibly be serious about her?!!!LaLaLand big time.
I have just been told by my H he still wants to (only)friends with OW. I thought we were working towards reconciliation, and just had to swap for a plan B instead. No room for OW in my life.I know he'll come out his Fogland, but seeing him is just too painful at the moment. It's so difficult with the children. This is my 3rd attempt of plan B, I feel much stronger this time.
I admire your strenght to leave SA.I know how hard it is to live in a foreign country and go through a marriage breakdown.
Keep up with the excellent progress mate. You'll be the winner through this, no matter what.
All the best for your family up there.(Or is it down there???? Anyway here Down Under)
Take care.Enjoy the beautiful spring time!
PS.How do you aussies see the new zealanders? Like I said I am not a NZr but would be interested to know...I know for rugby it means ENEMIES!

BearsInForest,
I LOVE your name. How did you get it?
Well, yes, my H has a knack of nosediving me. BLEH.
He replied to my email right away, and at least he didn't write 'regards' at the end this time. He REALLY doesn't want to send our stuff back, coming up with loads of excuses. He asked me to list essentials, so the piano and the kids toys were tops. Makes me wonder...he has been wavering on this since before I left. Heck, what does he expect me to do? He caused it, he can bloody well send the stuff.
Anyway he actually wished me a good weekend. My GOSH! He hasn't ever said that.
The tables have turned a little. I don't write his name at the top of emails now, nor do I sign them as I used to, "love Jacky" I don't sign at all. Big message for him, there.
Now, NZ's? Depends who you talk to really, same as everywhere else, but generally a good feeling. I knew some NZ'ers, but I can't recall where they were from now. Of course as far as rugby goes, the whole world hates the Aussies right now!!!
Where are you from originally?
