Hi All, I have for along time now decided to write poems when I am down. It is such a stress reliever.
Here is one I wrote not to long ago
Divorce is such a cruel word, hateful and loud, People often keep it hidden like some ugly shroud.
Like a disease that overtakes what used to be fine, Like vinegar and gasoline poured into wine.
It's bitter and dangerouse and always flares up, Is there many marriages that don't drink from that cup?
Nobody wins, a divorce is a loss, Of life and love and many years tossed.
So what can I say Ive been down that road, I carry those burdens like a large heavy load.
Burdens of children of bills and of pain, So why did he leave me what did he gain?
When I look at him now this man I once knew, I have to smile because he is now paying his due.
The woman he thought was so fine and so nice, Is now his wife but at what price.
His selfrespect gone, his face now so old, his love with his new wife now has gone cold.
Where am I you might ask? Are you happy to be free? "Yes", I reply "At last I can be me."
Jill

Jillybean,
In answer to you question....yes yes yes. Sometimes I think that I bleed emotional tears through the end of my pen. I think I posted this to you before, but this is one of my most recent.
EMOTIONAL STORMS
She tries to navigate as emotions crash against her brain Eroding her beaches of self confidance.
She listens intently for the calm ticking of her heart Only to be rewarded With Screams of agony From Fear, rejection and hurt
She valantly attempts to not load the guns of revenge and retaliation
As she tries to sail through the emotion filled waters of love.
-Kat-

I used to ... haven't written any since shortly after I met my X.
But writing got me through the rough years (16-19) by letting me get the thoughts out of my head and on paper. I still have all those poems, somewhere.

Talkin' to you on the telephone Looking at a snapshot of us, but feeling all alone Broken heart, broken promises, now a broken home... Oh when do you know it's over?
When do you know it's over? Is it when your heart has died? Or is it when the one you love Is by another man's side? When do you know it's over? When do you stop the fight... I can't believe that it's over tonight
Pourin' over these past seven years Rememberin' the very first kiss and laughter and tears Those of joy, those of pain, and those of all our fears Oh when do you know when it's over?
When do you know it's over? Is it when your heart has died? Or is it when the one you love Is by another man's side? When do you know it's over? When do you stop the fight... I can't believe that it's over tonight
Now that I know all the things I didn't do Now that I'm ready to be the right man for you Now that I have the heart and will to be true Why is it now that it's over...? Why is it now that it's over...?
