I hope I can answer your question. Here is a quote from Pittman's Book<p>"Philanderers want their wives to appear sexual to the other guys, but not to be sexual, either with other men or them. They don't want sex at home to interfer with the real business of masculine conquest. So they like the notion that the wife does not like sex much. Philanderers are threatened by either competence or sexuality in wives. Philanderers may insult their wives regularly, in public even more than in private, as they try to make themselves look grand and their wives look insignificant."<p>Pittman explains elsewhere that the philanderer sees sex as control so seduction by the wife is loss of control. Philanderers like having an attractive sexy wife but she is not allowed to have sex with him as that would mean a loss of control. <p>I lived the above quote to the letter for 5 years. I was always expected to be looking sexy and good like a trophey of sorts and then when we were out being constantly put down. Mostly just little digs but they added up. I was called a stupid ***** more than once and once on front of the children. I have never written that down and it brings tears to my eyes to see it. Sorry, I digress.<p>Pittman does address the female philanderer a bit but face it most females are not geared for the game.
